Big Daddys Catering — Local services in Fairbanks

Let me start by saying that I moved up to Alaska from the Lower 48 because I fell in love with the place when I was a kid. However, having spent the majority of my life in the South, specifically Texas, Georgia and South Carolina, I know what good barbeque is. And Big Daddy's is about the closest I can find to legit Southern barbeque up here. Not quite the same, but delicious. It really is good and I'd give the place 4 stars based solely on the food.

The problem is that they always seem to run out of menu items...AFTER you've already placed an order. This could be forgiven if not for the frequency and if it weren't for the fact that about 20-25% of the time, they get the order wrong too. I've eaten here at least a dozen times over the last couple years. I really WANTED to enjoy this place.

Wednesdays were my favorite night to go eat wings here!!! But today the wings were tasteless…..and worst of all RAW!!! When I complained to manager she said that the pink color and the blood was normal color, because they smoked it for 14 hours then fried it! These wings seemed oven baked and definitely not fried or fully cooked for that matter. Manager didnt even bother too look at food, I asked her to look at it, they even charged us for some uncooked chicken. Do not waste your time eating here. Food quality was the worst yet in Fairbanks. No taste whatsoever. What a shame, used to be...

First, CoCo the bartender is a solid, immaculate stunning woman, hope she’s free next time outside of work, lol. She was very attentive and helpful. As far as the food, the ribs I got tasted like they were boiled for 119 minutes, then thrown on a grill for 3 minutes. The meat had no flavor unfortunately 0 seasoning. The collard greens tasted like they were fresh out a can with no Vinegar, Hot sauce for flavor, bowl was dry at the bottom. The baked beans...
