Took my Bronco Everglades in for a regular interval service and to look at my front differential that was leaking fluid as well as my front driver and passenger seat belts as they would not retract as they should. Finished the service and needed to order parts for the other issues. Brought my bronco back in the have parts installed, was told it would probably take around 5-6 hrs for them to install parts and then they'd call me when it was ready. I get a call at 3pm telling me the tech is running behind and they would need to keep the car until the next day. They offered me a loaner car in the mean time and even picked me up at my house so I could get the loaner. I get told they should be done by noon-2 pm the next day. Next day I get a text at 9:30 that they're done. I drive the loaner back. I check out and go to leave. I notice that my expensive rock slide engineering rock slider steps are no longer working. I thought, oh maybe they just flipped the switch and turned them off while working on the car. I take the car for a drive to make sure everything feels fine as I often do after a service or having parts replaced feels fine in 2wd I then switch the car to 4wd Auto and ever time I turn the wheel I feel this grinding/rubbing noise under my feet the exact area where they were working to replace the front diff pinion seal. I take the car back immediately and tell them what I'm experiencing and I also ask them if they can look at my rock slider steps, as I found out that it wasn't that they just flipped the switch off something else was wrong with them. I told them that they must have done something to them while working in the area of the seatbelt tensioners as there are wires that run under the trim pieces there for them. They take the car for a drive to see what I am talking about when I brought it back. The return with my car and immediately take it back into the garage. They don't come out to tell me anything at first. When I go out to get any word what was wrong the front desk guy says that the service manager believes it the diff locker that's causing the issue, now I have a new issues that wasn't present before they worked on my car. Now I'm getting a little bit ticked off. After waiting a bit the front desk guy comes out to the waiting area and tells me that the issue was actually caused by the nut on the pinion seal, they just replaced, being lose and that they needed to tighten it up. First off how is that something you miss when working on a car. What would have happened had I not noticed that issue and brought my car back right away. They also stated that they looked my rock slider steps and could figure out the issue they believe that there is possible a short in the wiring harness, despite the fact that I told them they worked just fine before I brought my car in. They said they wouldn't look any further into it since it's after market parts. So I left the rubbing/grinding noise was fixed. So I proceeded home to figure out why my $4,000 rock slider steps would now not work correctly on the driver side, as the passenger side one work with no issues at all just as they had before taking my car in. So I pull up the front driver side trim panels nothing out of the normal everything is connected. So then I go to the rear driver side door and I notice the sensor that tells when the door is opened or closed is missing. The tech knocked it off and just tucked it under the trim piece. Totally aggravating. Should have just admitted he knocked it off form the get go that way I would have known what the issue was and I could have just remounted the sensor instead up leading me on a goose chase to figure it out. Instead of putting the blame on me and telling me oh "there must be a short in the harness" when I damn well know there wasn't a short in the harness. Take some pride in the work you do and own up to the mistakes you make. I would have been far less pissed off about it. Now because of these two issue why would I ever put my faith in Fallon Ford again to work on my vehicle ever. My confidence...
Read moreI WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS. I came to this dealer to have my car serviced and my expo has been horrible. It took two weeks to get an appointment.. okay that's fine. They call after looking at the car and tell me my both of my back brakes were intentionally cut by someone.. okay fine, that's not their fault. I proceeded to ask for pictures of the damages, which they said they would send to me that day. I never got them and proceeded to call for three days in a row, THREE TIMES on the last day asking for pictures of the damage for my employer and insurance purposes which I needed in a timely manner in order to retrieve security footage of whoever did this, since so much time had passed since the incident occurred. There was more than an hour till they closed on a Friday and they said it would have to wait until Monday. My insurance had contacted them and did not recieve the pictures for a full week until I had to physically GO TO THE DEALERSHIP MYSELF TO GET THEM SENT. They forgot all about it, and took all the pictures after I arrived at the dealership the following Monday, I also was told that both of my back brakes were not cut, it was only one of my front brake lines. Sloppiness runs rampant in the sevice department here. Basically I wound up having to make three trips to the dealership for information that could have been easily emailed to my insurance. I was never told I could pay out of pocket to get parts ordered earlier. It took them two weeks to get a standard brake line for a 4 year old model from Sacramento... I'm not buying it. Due to all of the lag time and poor communication which was squarely the service centers fault, it took me over a month to get my car back, AND THEY KNOWINGLY COMPLICATED MY ABILITY TO REPORT SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN LIFE-THREATENING TO MY JOB AND THE POLICE. They were the very opposite of helpful in a VERY stressful situation, and the manager claimed that he couldn't give me a discount because I claimed the damages through my insurance. The manager wasn't even going to offer me any free car wash tokens until my friend overheard someone else getting offered one and demanded that we get one. We got two, THANK GOD. This place is absolute trash, and is clearly under trash management. Here is the trash management, with no explanation as to what I did wrong, how I lied, no offer to contact me, every other negative review has been positively addressed so I'm doubtful this man even reviewed my info because I know this story sounds crazy, but all of this IS TRUE because I had to live through it and it really sucked. These people were pathetically unresponsive. This was one of the scariest things that's ever happened in my life, and these people made it even worse. And to be questioned again is just...
Read moreWhile driving through Fallon on the way to Mammoth CA for vacation, our Expedition Max experienced some overheating with our transmission. We immediately pulled into Fallon Ford right off the interstate. I explained the situation to the staff and they were able to do the following:
They allowed my wife and 4 kids to take over their service lounge for 6 hours. My whole family was treated very well and the lounge area was fantastic with leather seats, television, outlets for ipads, and snack/drinks. Fallon worked with my extended warranty and did a lot of digging to ensure that work that was done would have the smallest financial impact on my family. We still ended up with a bill around 1200, but this was definitely worth it and got us up and running. They got the SUV back immediately onto the rack and started diagnosing our problem on the same day. The master tech who looked at my vehicle was very thorough and I could tell was working overtime to make sure we were able to get a diagnosis. The dealership diagnosed my vehicle, but spent time trying to figure out if it would be a quick fix to get us back on the road for our vacation, unfortunately it wasn't an easy fix, but they still took time to make sure that we were safe to drive. The dealership gave me a ride to Enterprise to rent a car (BTW, avoid enterprise car rental, they're a terrible business in Fallon). They advised us on a local hotel to stay at for the night while we waited for family to come up and get us. They completed the work in 3 days. A brand new transmission cooler, ATF flush/fluids, reprogramming the transmission, and cleaning the undercarriage of the ATF fluid.
I can't recommend these folks enough, especially Greg, the service advisor and his brother (master tech, I forgot his name) who worked so hard on behalf of my family. These are good people and made what is usually a painful experience, something quite tolerable.
Every single one of these people at the dealership deserve high praise!...
