Buyer beware. This is not a Verizon Company store but an independent who sells the Verizon service. They are very dishonest and don't tell the truth. We have bough several phones in the past with no trouble. The last phone we bought was a promotion on a LG Q-70. This was a Verizon promotion. We went to the store to inquire as we needed a new smart phone. My first question was it was a 5G phone. They said absolutely. We also asked if it was a good phone, as our knowledge of such things is limited. He said it was an excellent phone that is well liked by customers who bought it. They said it would be a few days to get the phone as their store were out of it and they had to get it from another store. When we got the phone home, we noticed it said 4G on the screen. As we only had 2 weeks to return it, we went back to the store a few days later and was told by the salesman that there is no 5G service in our area and the icon we saw on the phone would change to 5G when we were in a 5G area. We took him at his word and left. Over the next weeks, we discovered that the phone has lousy service, the screen locks up and it was of poor quality. We called Verizon and they said that this is not one of their stores but was just a store that sells their service so we need to go back to them. They also said the phone is not 5G but 4G. We were quite upset at this point as we specifically said we wanted 5G and this was an important selling feature to us. Verizon also told us they were selling the phone on discount The Verizon agent also said that the store should have not said it was a great phone as they knew, or should have known, that it was on deep discount because of poor ratings from Verizon customers. We went back to the store and asked for the manager. We believe his name is Steve, but are not positive of this. This was, of course, after the 2 weeks return time as we were lied to by the salesman and the two week return policy had lapsed. Steve said he is sorry but the promotion was from Verizon so they couldn't do anything about it. We said we bought the phone at that store and were told specifics about the phone that were untrue and they should uphold their sales pitch. He said that since it is not a phone they "normally carry" and since this was a Verizon promotion and not theirs, they would do nothing about it. Due to this, it was my problem and they were free of any blame. I did leave quite angrily and, after this review, we will call the Better Business Bureau. We are also considering legal action. We are not the complaining type but this was deceptive and unfair. Stay away from these hucksters! They seem nice but will not back up their own products...
Read moreThis review is about a specific employee which lead to horrible experience. It does not represent our feelings towards the store, or the other employees that it helped us . About a month ago my husband and I went into the store and ordered a phone because but it wasn’t in stock. The sales associate who helped us was new but she was great and anything she did not know she would asked a manager. This review is not about Asha she was terrific and pleasure do deal with. When we went to pick up the phone almost 2 weeks later, it was around 6:15pm in the evening on Friday. That evening, we also purchased additional phone and traded in an older iphone. There were a few different moving pieces and complications especially because the phones now E sim cards. The phones were not finished being set up around 7:50pm and the store closes at 8pm. The Manager or the person with authority to lock the store, literally told us we had to leave that he had an hour drive home to NJ. He said the phones would finish over blue tooth when we got home. My husband and were a little hesitant, especially since we just spent well over $1000. BERNARD was the name of the unprofessional gentleman. Long story short we got home and 3 out of 3 phones were set up wrong. Every phone was attached to the wrong phone number. Verizon phone support was closed. And I spent 3.5 hours trying to communicate over chat to get the phones working. It was a nightmare and they charge you 30 dollars to set up each new line. Ironically, I am the one who set the phones up and figured out the problem and explained it to the person at Verizon chat but still had to go back to the store the next day because one phone needed a new sim card. The employees the next morning were also great and we’re very apologetic for the evening before. This review is based solely on the employee BENARD not the store itself. I could see if we would’ve walked in at 7:58, but we were there for hours twice and you should never let another customer leave the store with a product that doesn’t work in case of emergency. Yes, we could call 911 but that’s it with no working phones and baby at home is not a great feeling , all because he had to go home because he had a long drive and apparently ended up calling out the next day. I’d also like to add that my husband’s coworker also had a bad experience with the same employee. When Verizon send a text to write a review. And then disappeared because we are the phones that weren’t working so I am leaving this review on Google because I am unable to tell...
Read moreAvoid this location. Recently switched to Verizon for both home internet and mobile to save. The device from Verizon itself is fine and not a problem, but after coming in store at least 5 times, the employees here either lie on purpose or just don’t know anything about their jobs.
I’ll start with the biggest offense, which is why I’m even writing this. I upgraded my phone and all of a sudden they signed me up for Verizon mobile protect ($19), Netflix with ads ($10), and Hulu with ads ($10). They never once asked me about any of this and I didn’t notice till I started getting emails telling me to set those accounts up. That’s an addicted $39 plus a pro rated $1.90 for the last few days of the month with the Verizon mobile protect. This is absolutely unacceptable and a scam. It was done by Jayce, who I believe is the stores’s manager since his name is on the wall, which makes it even worse. Just want to further clarify I’m not talking about the $40 line upgrade fee or whatever it’s called, they added subscription services to my account without asking and now I need to call Verizon to try and fix it.
Other issues I’ve had was the same Jayce giving me a phone number to call to get help with a rebate department issue, which was a completely dead phone number. Small issue, but just compounds with everything else. The last annoying issue was being told I could use my $550 in gift cards I got for signing up to pay for the taxes and phone case on my new phone, just to find out when I get there that the gift cards can essentially only be used for bill credit.
Just stay away from this location. I’m already dreading the fact that I’ll have to go back soon since I still need to turn my...
