Six months ago I purchased tires here. Two days ago I got a flat tire in South Dakota and was informed by the tire shop that I have the wrong tires on my vehicle. I have confirmed this with multiple sources. These tires should not have been placed on a Ford Transit. These tires do not have the load bearing capacity needed for this vehicle. They are 4ply when they should be 10ply. They are unsafe for this vehicle and I am very lucky nothing worse happened. In addition I was provided a tire protection plan that is not valid as I called the number and they informed me that they donât work with Edâs. Now after only six months of having these tires I must replace them with the CORRECT tires for my vehicle. Iâm sure this was an honest mistake but I put my trust in tire professionals to know what they are doing and I will never come here again. I hope that someone gets back to me as I have tried to reach the general manager for the last two days and he has not gotten back to me. I hope they do something to make this right. 6/14- I still have not heard from the owner directly (only through a response to this review) nor have I heard from the general manager. There has been one person at Ed's trying to help me but he also has not been able to tell me what the resolution will be. It's been over a week since I bought new tires and still I don't know what Ed's plans on doing.... UPDATE JULY 24,2018- I was recently reimbursed for the tires. I worked with Mike at the Owen Drive location, over the last 6-7 weeks and cannot thank him enough for being a liason. Ed's tires is very lucky to have such a great employee. I hope this does not happen to anyone else but now I have learned quite a lot about tires! And again, thank you...
Read moreMy father, Ret. Col./JAG/Army/Vietnam/Veteran, has been coming to Rock for almost 40+ years here. If something were not right, Rock would make it right, without exception, no questions asked. Dad brought his van in because it would not run, just like he has done for the past 40+ years. They sent him a work order for a new timing belt, a new sensor, and an oil change. Having trusted Edâs with all of his cars for the past 4 decades, he approved it, only to have them call back and tell him the engine was blown, but they still completed all the work! Then, expected him to pay the invoice in full for all the work they did to a van with a blown engine? Really? Rock would have never done the work on a blown engine, and if it would have been done, Rock would have said it was his guys fault they didnât take the time to do a proper assessment prior to the work, and like dad has done since the beginning, kept coming back to Rock and Edâs Tire. Now they just lost one of their oldest customers! The corporation is making all the decisions now, and the people like Rock are pushed out, and so is the personal attention and customer caring, in the name of profits. They didnât even give a single cent to Rock when he left after at least 40+ years that I know off? Would you want to do business with a corporation that handles situations like that, or treats people like that? My strongest recommendation is to find another service company! Itâs a sad...
Read moreOn Wednesday my sister scheduled an appt to take her vehicle to Edâs Automotive on Raeford Rd for a tire change. She got confirmation and reminder texts about her appointment. Her appt was for Saturday Aug 10 at 10am. She got there at 9:40 am just to find it closed. My sister waited a little bit thinking maybe they werenât opening until 10am, but no one showed up. Apparently Edâs on Raeford Rd is closed on Saturdays but they still allow you to make an appointment for SaturdaysâWHY?! No one bothered to call her on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday to let her know they would be closed on Saturday and she should reschedule her appointment or schedule an appointment with another location. Now she has to go to a location across town and wait who knows how long because she doesnât have an appointment at that location. Her Saturday will now be wasted waiting around for when they can get to her car, when it should have been a fairly quick process. If you arenât open on Saturdayâs then donât allow appointments to be made on Saturdays. If you arenât going to change the online scheduler to reflect youâre closed on Saturdays, then call customers that make appointments and let them know no one will be there!
She was able to go to the Hope Mills location, and received...
