I hardly give 1 star reviews but there are reasons why I did it for this location. The reason why I give a 1 star review is because of the male worker being stingy with trade-ins. Like for example a while ago back in August 2024 when I brought in a blue 3ds xl that had no circle pad, he looked at it for less than 3 seconds, he was being stingy about it and he gave me a really lowball price like only $10. The long hair smoker grease guy with the beanie hat, he’s the one that talked down to me of the trade-in and said to me, “Nobody is gonna buy that dude” in a rude tone. I’m like what the H man in my mind. Who in the H would talk like that to me especially to a customer. I find it rude, not polite, and unprofessional service. I didn’t take it too personally and I left. Good thing I left and luckily I found a different game store that accepted a better deal than this game store. If he wasn’t making a fuss about it I wouldn’t have given this kind of review. But all in all, some games can be worth buying depending on what they are. The store transfer from Seattle to Federal Away was alright. A female worker at Federal Away from Al’s helped me with the store transfer and she’s cool which I respect her. But never again will I do trade-ins at the Federal Away location. For me personally I like the University Al’s Music & Games more. Over there it’s way better especially good vibes and I respect everyone there especially Quinn. Quinn is definitely cool in my book. The Federal Away location I can’t really say much good things there especially that long hair beanie guy. No customer deserves to be talked down like that. Respect needs to be earned and that dude with the long hair wearing a beanie hat has lost my respect. I guess the previous reviews about bad trade-in deals are true. Avoid doing trade-ins at Al’s Music & Games Federal Away location. Some of my homies and other people got ripped off for trade-ins. When one of my homies told me about their experience, I decided to change up the review and put it as a 1 star. It used to be a 3 star, but now it’s a 1 star. So it’s better to stay away and do trade-in business somewhere else if you don’t want to be talked down like that especially if you’re the sensitive type. I had a bad experience at this store especially those two male workers. When I brought in my Nintendo console, I showed it to them and as soon as they see it and just less than 5 seconds, the two male workers only offered me 10$ for it. That was really quick to give me that value and the other one guy said to me, “No one is going to buy that dude” like bro seriously, did he really said that to me directly at a customer which was me. I feel like I was being ripped off and it seemed rude. What kind of worker would talk to me like that. It was a waste of my gas just to show up there and ended up getting a very low price and bad service at the counter. I’m glad that I left at this game store. I was trying to sell some videos games and a console and they only tried giving me $20 which was a rip off personally.... and they were extremely rude acted grossed out by the things I was trying sell when it was still brand new in the box... I get this feeling they thought was homeless or thief? I work at FedEx with no car so I look exhausted and dirty...I didn't want to sell my personal collection but i was at my lowest point of my life trying to pay rent and food for my pets...they didn't need to make me feel more like shit than I already did heads up I have boughten consoles here before like a N64 & PS2 and PS1 and they always seem to have some sort of defect....when comes to the retro...
