Star Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Federal Way

Not many girls have reviewed this bar and if they have had expiriences like mine it's no wonder why. In the last two months I have been there twice. I got the pleasure of having 2 different bartenders. First experience they were out of a lot of things to make drinks and I mean a lot. Couldn't make margaritas on the rocks, couldn't make a sex on the beach, couldn't make anything fruity basically which is proof of why this is not a bar frequented by the younger dem here. Besides all of that the food was good, the karaoke was fun to watch and the gentleman who was running that was super nice. The bartender that night WAS NOT. I brought my best friend there for her birthday, that bartender had an attitude with us as soon as we got there but was all nice and flirty with my boyfriend. (I do not care but I came to drink so maybe flirt with me a little xP) Second time around it was a different female bartender but same amount of unfriendly. When she approached us we asked her how she was and she complained about how she was tired and over the night already. Counting down until she could get out of there. While she was behind the bar she kept complaining loudly about not wanting to be there. At one point I was waiting for her to come out of the back for ten minutes, I wanted to buy pulltabs. I was waiting there money and hand. I started to get impatient. My boyfriend looks around and where was the bartender? Not behind the bar, not in the back oh no she was sitting at the other end of the bar with two gentlemen having a drink and chatting it...

Worst possible service ever over the last 5 years of going to this bar. Ordered chili and cheese tater tots with chili on the side. Did not get served that way. Told the bartender we did not want it. She argued told her she already made it. We had to accept it then took tater tots back. Melted the cheese on them. We still refused it. She was rude from the start when we ordered our drinks. Had to stand there and wait while she finished off all her other people's drinks and had conversations with them. Then when aren't to order the second drink and got told I had to bring my empty Glass to the counter You get the second drink. Thought that was a bartender's job to serve drinks at your table! Was told not to come back. My friend had her credit card thrown at her upon paying and when I asked for my card back she ignored me and walked off. Had to ask for it back three times. Told us go ahead and complain to the owner. She's been there for over 30 years so it doesn't matter. I think it's time for her to retire if she thinks she can treat customers rudely! And tell them not to come back because she cannot get an order right and treat people respectfully unless they are her regular at the counter customers! Will not be returning to this bar again ever! Guess, the barmaid was right, this establishment does not care about their customers and the Barney being there 30 years made it okay for her to be rude to customers cuz I've heard nothing back regarding the poor service I receive on my last visit, I will not visit this...

Never in my life have I been kicked out of a bar on the basis of being black. A buddy and I walked in on a Wednesday night and was assaulted by a patron and bartender goes straight to refusing us service. We haven’t been in there 10mins. She ignored the fact that the patron assaulted us and was more concerned with my observation of her refusing us service because we were black. We came in sober, hoping to have one drink after a long work day. As a business owner, I was confused and wowed at the sheer disrespect and attitude of this bartender.
