Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Federal Way

I am from a small town a long distance from the "big city" and drove to the Ross store on Federal Way in Boise and waited in my car for 45 minutes for the store to open at 9 o'clock A.M.... because that is what time their information on Google said they open, but no... I go to the door at 9:05 and it's still shut to the public so in confusion I look for some indication as to why they aren't open on time and find a hand written adjustment to an 'hours of operation' sign saying they open at 9:30... not entirely sure if this is the store's issue or Google's issue, but someone needs to update their hours on Google. So frustrating because I was under time constraints due to appointments and now I have no time to go to Ross anymore! And also, the last time I came to this exact store, I was double charged for the same $20 item in separate places on the receipt and only noticed it when I was suspicious of an overcharge and matched every item to what I loaded into my car... and it was a large item so it would have been hard not to notice that they scanned it twice. I had to go through 3 people before I got my refund. They treated me like a criminal and I am a well dressed non-theiving 50 year old woman, not someone who people think of as a criminal anywhere else. I had to tell them to check the time stamp on the receipt and to search my car parked directly in front of the store if they needed to confirm I didn't have 2 of the large item. They were incredibly rude that day. I only came to this Ross location today because it was the closest to the airport and I had limited time before picking up my husband before heading to our next...

Worst Ross I’ve ever been to! Looked them up online and it said they close at 11. My bf and I walked in around 9:50-10pm to shop. About 20 minutes into shopping their employee DT says rudely “you know we’re closed right? You guys need to go get in line at the checkout now” I was honestly dumbfounded by the tone and rudeness coming from an employee to a paying customer. So we go to up front to stand in line. The store is a wreck and DT has then made her way up front brushing past me picking up things so I just move out of her way cause clearly excuse me isn’t in her vocabulary. The lady checking out was nice and who I assume was the lead/manager was nice. We asked her about their hours saying 11pm and she politely informed us they were closing early due to being short staffed. Makes sense and I appreciated the only act of kindness in that store. We then told the girl at the checkout how sorry we were because we thought they closed at 11. When DT then bursts out with “y’all know it’s Covid you should have called”…..what? So I then proceed to tell her that she must be having a bad day because she’s being extremely rude. So then an arguments breaks out between her and my bf. The lead/manager just keeps telling her to calm down. It ended with me telling her that I work in customer service and if I ever spoke to a customer the way she has us tonight, I’d be fired. This store really needs some help and needs to get rid of some employees because you can feel the tension just walking into that place. I had my shoes misplaced at the Skating Rink right down the road before coming here which led me to go to this location 15 min prior to them closing . W that being said , I arrived there 15 min prior to their doors being locked. While knocking on their door and being ignored by about 5-6 people in the store I decided to call them . The person on the phone told me “I’m sorry we are closed to open back up tomorrow at 9 , we can’t help you” that’s funny because your store closes at 10pm . The lady proceeded to hang up on me and ignore my following calls . I called a total of three times and was ignored every time after my first call . There were 3 people including me who walked up to the store thinking they were still open but weren’t . I was ignored the whole time and the associates in there were just staring at me like I was a homeless person . I was trying to get some shoes because I had none and eventually went home . I called the manager the next day (his name is Eric) and he told me that they don’t close down early and if they did it would have to get approved by him himself … w that being said sounds like someone isn’t doing their job and sounds like people should be fired . I cannot believe what I witnessed yesterday it’s absolutely disgusting …. You guys do all this ignoring but work at a store that probably pays you guys $12 an hour … hop off my case , do...
