Several years ago we had our initial experience with the people of Carbon Valley H&A. In brief; the furnace went out on a freezing night; the “24-Hour” places essentially said: “Oh, but we didn’t mean the 23rd hour from 11 PM to Midnight - just burn the curtains and maybe throw on some burgers on the blaze to keep up your spirits “. In desperation I called this business way out northwest of us. One of their amazing people took the call, stopped getting undressed for bed and drove to our home - getting here 1/2 hour later and fixed our problem carefully and expertly. I said then that we were customers for life.

On Friday, an electrical and HVAC expert, Jed Gooras, came right away in response to a call we’d placed to the company because I was smelling Mercaptan around the furnace. It’s not possible to give 10 stars on a 5-star review form, but I would certainly do that for Jed’s professionalism, exceptional competence and clear, understandable explanation of the problems, the options, the proposed fix and every detail of the cost. The first three were outstanding and the cost was considerably less than I was expecting.

I cannot conceive of using a company other than Jed and Carbon Valley people; assuming, for example, that a tornado hit their building and sucked up everything and everyone and deposited them in Arkansas. Short of that, we’re Carbon Valley customers for life. Highest recommendation!

Once again, I write to give an honest review of our experience with Carbon Valley Heating and Air. For several weeks we experienced a difficult problem taking showers, in which the hot water would suddenly go ice cold, and unless we turned the shower off completely, then let the cold water continue until the heater turned it hot again, showers in January were miserable. As was the case two years ago, Carbon Valley sent service the very next day. Ramiro G arrived as scheduled, and had exhaustive expertise in both furnace repair and tankless water heater system experience. Both of our systems are over 13 years old. Rather than simply pushing an expensive new system on us, Ramiro serviced both systems and then walked us through a plain language, detailed explanation of exactly what caused the heater problem, demonstrated the parts which were hopelessly corroded, gave us option after option and left the decisions strictly up to us. I have rarely worked with a group of people so ethical, knowledgeable and responsible as the team at Carbon Valley. They fix the problems and offer clear choices, never pushing an expensive suggestion where other good options are available. The reviews seen here are truly accurate! Please let me explain my opinon and experiences in a LONG review! I was in need of a full HVAC system, including a Furnace, AC unit and inonizer for my wifes health. I had been a long time customer of another service, who had initially installed another setup of lesser quality, and too large. This setup made our home STINK, and made my wife desperately ill. When I confronted the previous service about this issue, they politely stated that they were not eperienced enought to handle "our special needs", and offered to give us our money back once thier equipment was returned to them. I had contacted two other firms prior to Carbon Valley, both having visited our home to give quotes. Again both were unable to help me. They offered the good 'Ol boy solutions, but nothing that made sense, and were quite expensive for the "maybe" solutions they were offering. The stress level at this time was almost unbeareable, being just a couple weeks before Thanksgiving.

From the moment I had contacted Carbon Valley Heating & Air, the stress level started to deminish. From first contact to most importantly the installation team, things steadily got better.

My first contact was Nevaeh for scheduling, who had setup our in house quote. This young lady fielded more calls from me during the process than anyone individual should have to from a customer, and all the time doing it with grace and respect.

Jeremiah came to my home and spent 2 hours listening to my needs and finally taking some technical air flow analysis to what my home really needed. Ultimately Jeremia gave me Best, Medium & Low cost options to consider, that fit my needs, and all without pressure.

BUT ......... Let me tell you about my installation crew Gavin, Osley, & Ethan. These three young men are the most kind, respectful, ethical, hard working young men that I have seen in many years. Their knowledge of their craft is spectacular, their abilitiy to answer any question was off the chart, and their conscience effort to protect my home from damage was all a comfort after what we had gone through leading up to this install.

I hope this long review helps those who are on the edge about choosing Carbon Valley. I have been in commercial general construction for over 50 years and have seen many good & bad subcontractors. This is why I always recommend people to get a second opinion is because of companies like you. I called Carbon Valley Heating and Air for my air conditioner a couple of weeks ago as it was making an awful sound outside. I contacted your company as it had such amazing reviews. Your technician showed up walked out back to my A/C unit walked up to it and says that the compressor is shot. He did not open it up, do anything else, literally just decided that, due to the sound it was making. He said it was not even worth dong a diagnostic at that point. I figured he must know what he was talking about as I know that the unit is older. So we sat down and he went through our choices of a new unit from you guys. Choices ranging from $7000-$12,000!!! He also said that we should replace the furnace while we were at it in a combo package as it was the same age. Don't worry though as you have great payment plans. Wanted me to sign the contract to get this going. Luckily I've been professionally involved in real estate for many years now and I never go with a first quote unless I have dealt with someone first hand several times. So after your technician left I contacted another highly rated company in the area. The second company came out two days later. Their technician walked over and says that the contactor relay is shot. To replace that part, do a full diagnostic and get my A/C running to perfection cost me $200! I asked him about any compressor issue and he said anyone who said that is ridiculous as a true compressor issue like that then the unit would have never even turned on. Further he says there is nothing wrong with our furnace there would have been no need to replace it even if there was an A/C issue. I think your company attempted to take advantage of me as I was a woman home with my young kids and your technician thought it would be an easy sale/commission as I would be dumb and sign whatever. You either have shady practices overall or need to have a serious evaluation with how your technicians are representing your brand out...
