I recently had the pleasure of dining at Los Gordos, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with colorful décor that truly captures the essence of Mexican culture. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and quick to offer suggestions on the menu.

The food was absolutely delicious! The chips and salsa served as a perfect starter, with the salsa having the ideal balance of heat and flavor. For the main course, I had the enchiladas,torta and carne asada fries , and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were bold, fresh, and authentic, with generous portions that left me fully satisfied.

What really stood out was the use of high-quality ingredients and the attention to detail in each dish. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the house-made tortillas, everything was made with care and passion.

Ordered for delivery so it's possible that factor impacted the quality of the food but this was genuinely some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Almost everything was bland. Ordered rolled tacos with no guacamole and they came with guac (possibly the fault of the delivery service and not the restaurant), they gave me 2 chicken tacos and 1 beef even though I ordered all beef. The chicken was truly awful. It was very tough and dry, and entirely flavorless. The beef was good -- I took it out of the guac-smothered taco and ate it with the beans and a tortilla. Got chips and cheese expecting cheese sauce (like nachos) or maybe at least melted cheese but it just had dry shredded cheese sprinkled on top of unseasoned, unsalted chips. Churros are good, I'll give em that. May revise my review if I decide to eat there in person but honestly the quality of this food makes me not want to try it again. Los Altenos is much better. Have gone to this location for the last 6 years that I've been in Flagstaff. I've read a lot of the recent reviews and very sad to see the amount of upset people. The people/workers are very nice, always get orders in quick so you're not waiting too long and I'm always happy when i eat their food. I always recommend this place to my coworkers and working for a hotel i recommend this place for guests as they have later hours and food is hot and tasty. As for the price, its honestly the same as other mexican locations like Ralberto's, Filiberto's and Poliberto's. With our minimum wage going up every year ALL the restaurants have high prices on literally everything and it's sad because a lot of great locations end up closing. But i am glad Los Gordos is convenient and quick and even have different options compared to the other mexican "fast food" places.
