IR Auto Solutions Ceramic Coating & PPF of Asheville — Local services in Fletcher

Even though words don't do justice to what Nick and his excellent crew achieve at IR Auto Solutions, I'm going to give it a shot! I just bought a new 2024 BMW X5M Competition and I knew before I ever took delivery of the car that I wanted to get PPF and ceramic coating on the car to give it the best protection possible. The problem is that there are a ton of people out there who are doing ceramic coating and PPF. This has not always been the case, but I know of a few owner/operator detailers in my area that told me "Oh yeah...I can do that." Well, I didn't just want somebody who could do it; I wanted somebody who would do it exceptionally well! There is a difference. On my previous car, I'd taken the car straight from the dealership to my residence, given it a wash, and put Adam's Graphene Ceramic coating on it. Suffice it to say, detailing isn't my day job and while I did do a pretty good job for a novice, it didn't have that flawless finish that you can only get from a professional dedicated detailer like Nick or Leo. That being said, when I put a ceramic coat on my previous car, I immediately understood the undeniable benefits and its hydrophobic properties. If you are on the fence about whether or not to get ceramic coating or whether or not it is "worth it," I can assure you that it is and you will never go back to wax again. There's simply nothing else like it for your car with regard to UV protection, hydrophobic water shedding, and insane mirror-like glossy finish (and touch). Given my exceptional record with rock chips, I knew I wanted to get PPF for my car because that would at least mitigate any paint damage from rock impacts and I would be doing all I possibly could to protect my new BMW. In consulting Google in search of a detailer/installer, I found there were so many more options than the last time I looked into this years ago. I decided to check the reviews for businesses and one company immediately rose to the top - IR Auto Solutions. At that time, they had 100 5 star reviews on Google and all positive reviews on Yelp. 100 5 star reviews is impressive, to say the very least! Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other business I've dealt with locally that can boast nothing but 5 star reviews. Next, I looked at the cars that Nick, Leo and his crew had worked on - they worked on everything from Subarus to Porsches. I saw one BMW M3 in Isle of Man Green like my X5M that was coming in and I took that as one more sign that I had the right guys for the job. If you haven't checked out Nick and IR Auto's social media feed or YouTube accounts, do your self a favor - not only are they educational, but you get a sense of the caliber and quality work that each person who works on your car brings to the table. They are all aces! The next step was reaching out to IR Auto and getting a consultation. I called and got an answering machine (I assumed the guys were busy detailing in the shop), but I received a call back in less than 30 minutes. I spoke with the owner, Nick, and he was extremely attentive. After discussing the options with Nick, based on my vehicle and the level of protection I was looking for, he made some suggestions and I went with the full PPF, Trinity 7 year ceramic coating, and window tint. I will say this much, these guys are straight up artists at what they do. I took possession of my car today and snapped some pics in their bay because the weather was snowy so I knew the car was going to be a mess when I got home. You may find a cheaper installer, but you'll not find a better, more professional, dedicated group of detailers than the staff Nick has assembled at IR Auto - himself included. When you are dealing with these guys, you are not only dealing with straight up professionals, but you are working with a business that value's the customer and the customer's experience above all else. I wish every place operated with the level of integrity, honesty, and meticulous eye for details like Nick, Leo, and he guys at IR Auto. If I could give more than 5...

I did a good bit of research on PPF installers throughout WNC and the Upstate, and I don't think you can find better quality and pricing anywhere. I had IR work on two of my vehicles. They fully detailed and ceramic coated my 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2. The car has never been garaged and had been ceramic coated twice before with inferior products, and after the IR treatment it looks better than it ever has including when I took delivery new from the dealer. It looks fantastic and rain just rolls right off the truck. The bigger job was my 2024 BMW M2, which was getting a PPF matte conversion along with full tint and a rear spoiler install. They absolutely nailed the install on the tint and spoiler, then went above and beyond to get the PPF perfect at the follow-up appointment. Nickolas and team are fantastic, and I'll absolutely be taking every car there for PPF in the future. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy. When I arrived for my consultation, Nickolas walked me through my options, explained what to expect from each of them. I will say the quote I got here was a touch more expensive than some other spots around town, but the service and responsiveness you get for it is more than worth it.

Going back in a few weeks for a complementary car wash and film inspection so they can fix any small defects that may become apparent between now and then (which is something even XPel corporate shops I've used in the past don't bother to do). They really stand behind their work, and their work from what I can tell so far is very solid.
