Giving two stars only because there are some redeeming qualities. For the most part, this community college isn’t focused on producing quality nurses. They quote a 98% NCLEX success rate which is true, 98% of the mere 14% that actually manage to graduate will pass their NCLEX. The campus is obviously driven by collecting $$ from students to put into administrative staff and not much else. The parking lot is riddled with potholes, the classrooms are dirty and outdated, the computers offered in the labs are old and nearly obsolete. There’s not much organization and not much care for students. Deans can be flippant, rude and downright cruel. Not much help is offered from supporting staff, large issues involving descrimination and isolation brought to the attention of administration are chalked up to “a bad day”. Asking questions or relaying concerns are met with threats to be kicked out of the program. Redeeming qualities are that most instructors enjoy teaching and truly motivate their students. Most classes are hard to fail because instructors offer tutoring, labs, and frequent communication. Registrar is very willing to help with scheduling, and financial aide is willing to create do-able payment plans when needed. Corporate is very helpful when it comes to concerns and complaints, though they do not follow up with you after you submit a complaint. If administrators on campus cared more about the success of their students, the campus would produce more successful graduates and less would drop out. I am too far in the program to transfer to another location without losing 6+ quarters of credits, or I would have found another college. It is easy to feel like just a number or an open wallet, as most of administration is not interested in who students are as...

I started in the ASN program. Within 3 weeks of the first quarter, over half of the class had dropped out already. I can see a few here and there, but seriously, if half of the class drops what’s that tell you? It’s to hard. Most of the curriculum is unnecessary. The required classes have nothing to do with nursing. It’s seriously almost like they have got a nursing program and PhD program confused! I have since transferred to NKU and while the program isn’t very easy, it’s much more doable than Beckfield’s nursing program. Beckfield expects you to give up your job, home life and family. Not to mention, they don’t have the accreditation that most hospitals require to work at. Their tuition is almost 20 grand more than other nursing programs in the NKY/Greater Cincinnati region! Their credits don’t transfer either. Also, they tell you on this fancy brochure in the beginning that their pass rate is 98%.. don’t let it fool you. It’s the pass rate for the NCLEX. Which of course, if you are one of the few who actually graduates the program then of course you’ll pass the NCLEX. The graduation rate is 18%. They have taken a 3-4 year degree and crammed it into 2 years. It’s WAY to much to learn. No one can possibly be a good nurse by learning the crammed info in 2 years. It’s a shame what a scam this school is.. at least the...
Read moreAs I approach the end of my studies I wanted to take the time to say that I absolutely loved Beckfield College. The flexibility of having fully remote courses made it very easy for me tobcomplete study with 2 babies. Instead of having to worry about sitters and sitting in class for hours at a time multiple times a week. When problems did arise I recieved prompt assistance and the staff was simply amazing. I absolutely loved the computer the school supplied and was so thrilled when i was informed it was covered under warrenty after my daughter broke it. With no questions asked Beckfield's staff made it very easy to ensure all necessary materials for sucessful studying were aquired. Not to mention the huge benefit of the 6 week courses and the quicker progression than other facilities. If your looking to go back to school I highly recommend Beckfield College and thier tuitions aren't through the rough. Financial aid is also amaxing in assisting you every step of the way through the fasfa and grant opportunities. Thanks for reading have a great day and...
