Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Florence

I can't rank negative or I would. Tonight was absolutely ridiculous! They close @9. We went at 7:45. They were already shutting down. Had the salad bar torn apart, no soup or spaghetti, old gross pizza, half the pizza buffet was closed, so only a small section was open. (they kept pulling from under counter when they put out more, not making fresh, and it was rare to even have them do that) no dessert pizza. I understand wanting to leave early.. but if that's the case, do not let people in to pay. They were still having new people come in when we were about to leave, as pictured, and not warning anyone that they were basically closed already. Since the register is in front, you don't really notice until AFTER paying. I ordered a special pizza, to try and get something fresh. They didn't tell me it was ready and put it on buffet. It was pretty much gone by the time I noticed... and I was watching from my seat. But since there was nothing on buffet barely, anyone close that saw it put up was trying to get some. They had plenty of customers there too. It wasn't like it was just us, or a few stragglers. So they should have been actively refilling things throughout, or stop letting people in. I try not to go to places around close, but this shouldn't have happened when they still were open for over an hour!! Absolutely disappointed and upset....

Very displeased with this Cici's. My grandson wanted to have his birthday party there. A week or so ago, we asked while dining if they do parties and they told us all we needed to do was come in for the party and section off a part of the dining room and that we could order pizzas for everyone. We invited about 20 kids - some came with their parents and were told at the door that everyone would need to pay for the buffet. When we talked to the manager about it, he was very young and arrogant and said he would need to call the owner. He proceeded to ask us what the person we talked to about it looked like, what she was wearing, what color of hair she had . Really? Are we lying about this? After inviting 20 kids here? I asked him if he would give us a discount on the price of the buffets for all those people. He said he would get back to me and he didnt until I had to ask him again. He said he was waiting on the owner to get back with him. 15 minutes later - we're sitting there with 20 hungry kids and their disgruntled parents. Nobody knew what to do. We wont be back and I'm pretty sure these kids parents wont either. Way to go Cici's . Shame on you for messing up a 6 year olds birthday party after he chose to come to your...

Food wasn't too bad. It was busier than we normally see it. When we arrived the bar was almost empty. Like normal i already get a personal pizza due to the fact i don't prefer most of the pizza they have on the bar. For the hour we spent there i waited for 45 mins for the personal pizza. My family was ready to leave by this time. When i asked 30 mins into the wait the manager told me they were working on it. Over the next 15 mins i watched while all the personal pizza request were over looked. Final 40 mins pass and the kitchen says all orders in. Meanwhile place is still packed. So the next 5 mins no pizzas were put in the oven. By this time i couldn't hold my tongue. I told the manager why his bar crashed explained why i was dissatisfied. His excuse was sorry we are training. To me i find that unacceptable. I watched him walk around the entire time. A real manager would have been on top of the situation. How can a manager at a buffet see his store is packed and be ok with no product being made to account for the business. By the way there were 3 other personal pizzas besides mine. They placed one of those into a to go box. He didn't even seem to care that i was unhappy....
