Iâm not sure how much theyâre paying these people to give them 5 star reviews- but let me state this clearly: DO NOT GIVE ELECTRONIC EXPRESS YOUR BUSINESS.
My wife and I were looking for a new laptop, so we visited the store assuming it would be similar to Best Buy. The first thing I noticed was the lack of isles. Itâs a giant open floor plan, and looks like they just set up whatever they happen to get. I also noticed that for an electronics store, they had a very broad selection. Everything from exercise equipment, to mattresses to kitchen cabinets. Kinda weird for an electronics store. In addition, i noticed that there were NO check out lanes!
Well after a while we found a laptop we liked, and were immediately pushed to in house financing. Then I realized what was so fishy. âElectronics expressâ is just a another version of rent-a-center. They offered Loans with interest rates ranging from 20% for a 90 day loan, and 150% for a one year loan! They wanted me to pay $140.00 per month on a $550.00 laptop! Thatâs almost $1700.00! They try very hard to keep you focused on the monthly payment, and not the total cost. Heâll, they barely even gave me options, and immediately asked me how I wanted to make my down payment!
This company doesnât want to sell products, they want to push insanely predatory financing into people with poor credit/knowledge of how loans work. They move into cities like Florence with high poverty rates, and prey on those people. Then they either grossly overcharge them, or destroy their credit drive out residents further into poverty. Remember, when they give electronic express $1700 for a $500 laptop, they now have $1200 less to spend at your business! This place hurts everybody in the shoals.
We left the store and went to Walmart, where we bought the same laptop for less money after tax than their price (before interest!)
Tl;dr: electronics express is another rent a center, trying to push people into predatory loans under the guise of âbuilding creditâ. Avoid at all costs! Shame on the city of Florence for allowing them to start a business, but not allowing a bass pro shop! Absolute waste...
Read moreI purchased a Display Model TV yesterday from this location. Elijah assisted me and was great. He was knowledgeable and courteous. I was assured at the time of purchase that all parts (with the exception of the manual that I could find online) were in the box. When I opened the box at home, we discovered that there are two missing pieces that connect the TV to the stand. Without these parts, we cannot attach the TV to the stand for use. I called the store immediately and Elijah assured me that they would look for the missing pieces. Today, I called the store for an update and was told they couldn't find the parts. Elijah spoke to his store manager, Andrew Risner, and they offered to give me a $20 refund to purchase the $40 parts online. I asked them to purchase the parts and send them to me and they refused to do so. They were only willing to give me $20. I then asked to speak to Andrew (the store manager) directly and was told that he was too busy to speak with me and that the $20 refund was all they were willing to do. The manager's refusal to speak with me was unprofessional and revealed his lack of care or concern for me as their customer. There are lots of places to buy a TV these days. If you choose to do so at this store, be very careful. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen and that the parts were lost. I only wanted them to make it right and they refused to do that. This was an easy problem to fix, but they weren't willing....

Lilly is quite helpful, she has fun energy, she seems to genuinely care about helping people, whereas most places I canât get help even when I ask for it. I was in two weeks ago and she helped me find what I needed even though it wasnât an adapter Electronic Express had, she went above and beyond to help me and my son figure out where we needed to go to get what we were looking for. I however recently had a problem with the online store as half the listings have typos(saw a desktop where the title said 16GB RAM and it actually had 32GB RAM written elsewhere in the listing which is confusing), or the open box items almost always say available for pick upâŚand then they arenât at the Florence store, the prices also appear to be higher online than I saw in store. I recommend going in store for all your stuff at electronic express, the online store isnât worth the confusion when we have a store here with people in it who care. Iâd recommend asking for Lilly specifically, sheâs fun and still gets you what you need! I know being fun isnât important but it sure does make for a better shopping experience, in my opinion. Lilly also suggested Leviticus(hopefully spelling this right) in appliances to me for when I replace my fridge so if youâre shopping in appliances she spoke highly of him and assured me he would be able to find me what I needed when...
