If you shop at the store, I don't know if you know what type of people the owners are. Me, myself, i know the owner rodrigo and I've known him for ten years. And in those ten years i have battled with addiction. Some times doing good, but most of the time i was in very low parts of my life. There has never been a time in those ten years that rodrigo or his wife has not been there for me or if i needed something for my kids. I think its very important to say that we were complete strangers until i walked into the store one day. Throughout the ten years, I've made a lot of bad decisions that even my family has had to turn their back on me. But rodrigo or his wife have never turned their backs on me. And because of them i can say i am clean today. And for the first time in 7 years, i can spend christmas clean, happy, and with my family. He always told me how smart i was and i could do better things with my life. And that i could do anything and that i was too good for drugs. He believed in me when i didnt believe in myself. He gave me $1000 to go to california to get away from the lifestyle i was living. I have seen him feed homeless people coming in his store. Give jobs to random strangers that walked in the store saying they need jobs. His brother Sergio has also given me a job so i could earn honest money for my family. And today he gave me 300 dollars for my daughter and so i could give back to people who are in the same situation that i have been in so many times before. Lonely, hungry, and alone with nowhere to go on christmas day. So because of him we are going to be able to make christmas a little better for 20 people and make a difference, like he makes a difference in so many peoples lives. I am saying these things because he is a very special person in my life. And the elections are coming up. He and his family are from mexico and are true americans in my eyes. They work harder than anybody i have ever seen. And they do everything for their family. God is love. Not color. Don't let people and the government and the tv divide us by hate. And if you get a chance to come into one of the best stores you could visit in America, come in and shop. You won't only shop, but they'll make you feel like family. Do yourself a favor and see what being a true american is all about. Making something out of nothing. What america is about. And being part of a family. Best chorizo, flank steak, tortillas, and freshly made tacos in Kentucky. If you come early on the weekends you can buy some freshly made tamales. Or grilled spatchcocked chickens. The best smelling parking lot in the area. Come extra early because they are bought by the dozens. They sell out fast.

I have purchased chorizo from many markets between Florence and Fairfield, this one is my favorite.

The staff cuts the meats fresh in store most of the time, Everyone is generally nice.

You can order almost any kind of tacos and they are freshly made to order. And they are not greedy with the salsa. You can shop around and pick up some groceries and snacks while you wait.

I have never had a disappointing taco from this spot. Occasionally you can get elotes made fresh too. Or fresh mango sliced up with tasty toppings. Delicious. Well worth the trip and then some.

P.S. Avoid the "restaurant" next door. On...

I measure Mexican authenticity with three selections: Do they serve tortas, menudo, and horshata? This restaurant has them and, as a result, all the authentic standards: pastor, carnitas, proper Mexican rice, etc. The food was top notch, but my Aunt did not like her enchiladas - the only negative on the night.
