We purchased a pool 2 months ago and are still waiting on installation. From the moment we paid nothing has been what it was supposed to be. The pool was not delivered when were told it would be and we had to call to get updates. Watson's did not call us. We realize we have had A LOT of rain and installation would be delayed. Our first appointment was cancelled, understandably. The second appointment the contractor didn't show up when he said (6:00 7:00 AM) but called several hours later to say that he was on his way. When they showed up we were told immediately they probably wouldn't be able to do the work, but then proceeded to try. After tearing up the side yard and sections of the back yard, they advised they weren't going to be able to do it. I overheard the contractors after the fact stating that they were DONE with Kentucky appointments until next week. Which meant we were going to have to wait at least another week for installation. The third appointment was scheduled for Sunday and again they said they would arrive between 6:00-7:00 AM. We received a text the night before stating they would not be coming until 9:00 - 10:00. We received a phone call at 10:00 from the contractor saying his trailer was damaged and someone was going to bring him another one so he would be late. We called him around 1:00 just to see if all is well and was sent straight to voicemail. My husband calls Watson's to be told that "Well, it has rained like 100 days". We obviously are aware of the rain, but that wasn't our complaint. We were told that we would need to call the coordinator Amanda. We actually did call Amanda after they came and damaged our yard, then left. (Still waiting to hear back on that one, nothing yet.) The phone call went no where and no one even tried to help. We finally received a phone call around 3:00 from a young lady saying we would need to reschedule again. We have another appointment scheduled for Tuesday and unfortunately neither my husband and I can take off work. At this point I am terrified to let these men work in our yard when we aren't home. I honestly think they won't show up or they won't finish. This experience has been exhausting and just bad. There is no customer service at all, no consideration. Not just from Watson's but the contractor they are using. This was supposed to be something fun and exciting for my family, not anymore.
Once this is completed, we will never purchase another thing...
Read moreGreat pool package with extras! Thanks
Update. After a few years.
We found a leak in the vavle that goes from pump to the filter. We bought the Elegance Pleasure package with lifetime warranty on everything except 10yr on liner. We'll the lifetime warranty is only on the frame walls and top. Just got off the phone with services can't get someone out to fix until after pool season is over. On top that equipment they are now telling me only had 1 year warranty. It amazes me how that changes when something goes wrong especially when paying over 5k for a pool (pre-inflation prices) now they want to charge me 150 just to come out, 20 dollars per 15 minutes of labor plus the cost of the valve. Before buying this worm on a hook LIFETIME WARRANTY bait, get it in writing. I just bought for less than all the noted above and a sand filter (Watson has cardboard filters that are super expensive and might last the whole swimming year but ours never do to many maple trees dropping seeds and leaves in the area. Usually 2-3 filters a year at 80 bucks a piece) getting a 1hp sand filter and pump with a timer on it for cheaper than what I can get from watson's. It is a damn shame I try to spend money in local economy and I get burned. So I'll take my business elsewhere and I will get what I need online with a 4.4 star review of 5 out of 5, over 3000 reviews on it and get more and pay less. Sorry Watson I tried to let you make it correct but fought me tooth and nail so here I am on Google spending valuable weekend time away from my family writing this review. Best of...
Read moreWe purchased our pool from Watson's in 2012. We have been buying supplies there every year since. Last weekend I took the lid to my cartridge filter system to seek a replacement. This lid had cracked. I spoke to the manager that I've spoken to many times over the years and explained the situation and showed him the cracked lid. He claimed that company went out of business a long time ago and there was nothing he could do for me but to sell me a new system. I explained I couldnt afford a new system and he shrugged his shoulders. I spent another five minutes trying to get some kind of help from him....I literally begged for help. But he offered no suggestions, no help, no sympathy....nothing except to purchase a new one and being a long time customer held no sway.
I figured out that I could put a temporary repair on the lid by using a waterproof and pressure resistant epoxy from lowes. I then learned that my cartridge system was available online from at least two different companies. They were identical. $30 and 4 days later I have a replacement lid...no thanks to the manager at Watson's who showed no sympathy or regard for me. What bothered me the most is that he didn't even pretend to care and he didnt take a few moments to try and help me. He could've looked online or googled how to repair it. Any gesture of kindness would have made all the difference but it was very clear that I wasnt worth the effort. They have lost a...
