Spent a week in Pavilion Watch 2G, Aug 21-28, 2021. Below Ive added a few of the photos I took, just to give a “glance” just how dirty the condo actually is. It’s important to notice the 9 reviews on this specific condo, as they are all 5 star and each one describes how clean the condo is. Please believe me when I say, the word “clean” is definitely not a word I would use to describe anything about this condo. I find it rather strange how each review is geared towards that word, clean! Almost as if the management/owner “adjusted” the reviews. Upon our arrival, I dropped an ice cube, as I wiped it up with a paper-towel, I noticed the black dirt, sand and dust on the towel. I began to look around, under the beds, on the floors, in the bathrooms... the dirt was everywhere. Hair in the showers, sinks & toilet lids. Dirt and dust in every corner. Once I called the office and complained, the team was very nice and scheduled a cleaner to come the next morning. She was very nice and Im sure did what she was told to do. As I watched, I began to understand why everything was dirty. She had 2 kitchen towels to clean with, along with a bucket with a toilet brush and some disinfectant spray, along with a sponge. The “mop” was a pad approx 2” x 8” and she rinsed it in water, sprayed disinfectant on it and skimmed it along the floors. Re-rinsing 2 times for the entire condo. Needless to say, I don't believe the staff has any concept of a clean, sanitary room. Shocking especially due to Covid. One would think, if you are going to host, rent or house families during a pandemic, the facility would adhere to strict cleaning guidelines. I did appreciate her coming on a Sunday and she did her very best, and I rewarded her. I will say, the condo does have potential. It has a nice porch to sit and relax, watch the waves and beach activities. This is the reason I decided on 2 stars. The condo is listed as a 3 bed, 1 King and 2 Queens. The condo is actually 1 King and 2 Full. False advertisement, isn't that illegal? Not to mention the mattresses are awful. The right side of the King mattress dips so low, it’s like getting into a hole. All 3 mattresses have no support whatsoever and are extremely uncomfortable. The a/c in the condo cools the primary bed, kitchen and living room. The other half, with 2 Full size beds, and baths, are miserably hot. Possibly another time of year, in cooler months, this would not be an issue. But, in 90+ deg heat, it is an issue. The refrigerator barely kept our grocery items cold, and the freezer melted on the kitchen floor at least once daily. The kitchen did have nice pots&pans, supplies were abundant. The condo is in a good location for the restaurants on the corner, and several souvenir shops. The outside noise, trash trucks, street/city equipment is rather loud, especially at 6am when rolling through of a morning. Unfortunately the condo is situated so all 3 bedrooms face a street, so even in the primary bedroom, it is difficult to hear the ocean at nite due to the outside noise. Overall, I am displeased with our decision to stay in this condo and the fact we overpaid grossly for it. Had it been appropriately priced, I never would have selected it in the first place. If I could leave negative stars that would be where I started this review. This was absolutely the nastiest place we’ve ever rented. You could smell the cat spray from the stairs walking into the room. It smelled & felt like we walked into a litter box that had never been cleaned. We literally slept on our towels because there was hair, crumbs & dead bugs on the beds. We had to completely close off the 3rd bedroom to try to contain the overwhelming smell. We reached out as soon as we got to the condo and their solution was bringing us air freshener. When I tell you there is no air freshener on this planet that could fix the smell… i am not exaggerating. They need to completely rip up the carpet. There was liquid splattered on blinds. The refrigerator smelled like a dead fish. The shower literally screams at you when it’s on hot. The beds are harder than concrete. One of the bathroom lights has a short and was flickering on & off. Vacasa is the worst choice for a rental company. If I could have taken a picture of the smell you would immediately run the other way. Overall we loved our stay at Pavilion Watch. The rooms were very clean upon arrival and nicely decorated. I also love how quiet and peaceful it is here; no one disturbed us once. It’s a short walk across the street to the ocean, but you still have a great view of the beach from the balcony. One of the only issues I had was the hot tub. It is barely warm. At times the pool was warmer than the hot tub and it never got better after trying it out several times during the week. In addition to that my hair turned blue after swimming in the pool/hot tub, so if your hair is blonde be wary of that. I haven’t had that problem before swimming in other pools.
