Catch 23 Restaurant — Restaurant in Folly Beach

The service here is absolutely horrible. Food wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t go back just based on service. The waitress kept coming back to our table telling us she forgot what we ordered, when our dinner came out and we started eating she came over and said “you didn’t order the crab legs” umm yes we did, I even asked her as I was ordering “I’ll take the crab legs, do they came with any sides” and she said no, and then she’s going to accuse us of not ordering them as we are eating them lol? It was strange. Then as she was waiting on the table next to us, she yelled at the runner saying he wasn’t getting any of the tables right when in reality it wasn’t his fault because our drinks went to the wrong table, and another tables apps came to us and they were all different runners so I believe she put the tables in wrong. We asked for the manager, and he could have cared less about our feedback and just kept saying “but you got your food, right?” …and to top it off, when we got the check she gave herself 20%. They rang it up on an iPad thing, gave her my card, and when she gave it back to me, she already added her tip in and I just needed to sign it…who does that?? $175 for two people?...

PERFECTION! Catch 23 has nailed it! From location, to amazing staff, to phenomenal food and views, this place has it all. We ventured to Catch 23 a total of FOUR times on our visit to Folly Beach! (Yes, we went other places too.) First we went just for cocktails. AMAZING! The two girls working the bar were phenomenal! Super friendly and welcoming - no one was a stranger while they were there. We went for lunch once, dinner once, and appetizers and more beverages another time. We tried other places in the area, and this one was simply by far the best, so we kept coming back for more!!! The food was top notch! The mahi sandwich was fantastic. The sushi is to die for. The wait staff and bartenders are all very friendly, take their time with you even when they're slammed, and make you feel extremely welcome. They keep your drinks full and your food coming! The views are lovely. The atmosphere is just the best. I truly can't say anything bad about the place. BRAVO!!!! Thank you for making the food and beverage part of our trip to Folly unforgettable! Myself and two of daughters stopped in Sunday for some of the absolute best experiences I have had at any restaurant. Cam was our waiter and he was training a new waitress who by the way seems to need no training at all. I am self employed and service is what I stand by. They both hit home runs. Very attentive to our table and clearly happy to serve. We had such a positive experience that we stopped in twice that day. After our first visit we went and hit the beach and did some shopping. Then decided we had to go in again for a Ceasar salad and dessert before our long drive home. Positive atmosphere and positive people that do not seem to stop smiling or serving customers. The food was splendid and rarely, even in my best experiences do I feel like good friends were serving me food. I would probably still be sitting at the table now if not for having to drive home.
