After a seriously hellish year (well beyond just Covid), I wanted to spend my last dollars on a treat for myself. I asked the shop owner to point out the “natural, un-dyed” turquoise beads with the high price on the tag. I happily paid PLENTY for them.

They promptly turned white, while my skin turned turquoise.

Rubaiyat: We are all struggling to survive the pandemic, but ripping people off won’t keep you in business.
