Living in a small town should provide us a chance to get better service as we are always bound to run into each other AND word of mouth spreads fast. I am not going to name and names AND I would have pondered speaking to the manager if I didn’t overhear his conversation with the employee. We have four hardware/home improvement stores in town and today I visited two looking for this little part. The first had all the staff sitting and looking apathetic. I was barely acknowledged, asked where bulbs were and I was greeted with a response that reminded me of when my kids were teenagers and they huffed and rolled their eyes. Then when I returned empty handed and asked if it could be ordered 😳, I got that x💯. After listening to the conversation with the boss I knew what was to come, started to get 🐸 but thought it just isn’t worth it. I wonder if customer service is 💀.
I know life is very tough now. Prices are high, wages are low and we are greeted daily with more 🐂 🌽 designed to divided us and keep us agitated. He was standing talking to one of his friends talking about their driving or something and instead of saying one second or we'll be right with you he just said no and continued talking to his friend. I was welcomed kindly by a young man with green hair, he asked if I needed any help and I let him know that I was just looking around with time to kill time and supportingour local business.
