Visited the Fort Gratiot, MI store at 4pm on 04/21/2021 with my son. HORRIBLE is an understatement when speaking about this visit. I grabbed a few items and proceeded to the counter to purchase them. There was a male and a female cashier, each helping a guest. I was next to be helped, and no one was behind me in line. I waited a full ten (10) minutes. One guest was being helped by the female with a return, which I understand is a process. The other, the male, was helping a stoner who made the entire checkout line smell like a Marijuana farm. A professional associate would ask someone like that to leave, as it imprints a negative view of the store on other guests who aren't drug addicts. The drug addict was being helped finding golf balls that are kept behind the counter. After about 5 minutes, another associate came along, and instead of opening a register to assist the next customer, proceeds to help the clueless associate find the golf balls. Another five (5) minutes elapsed, and the two (2) clueless male associates still hadn't found the golf balls. By this time, I'm quite frustrated. I slam my items down on an unused, closed register and proclaim, "how many idiots does it take to find damn golf balls?". If I hadn't known any better, I'd say it was the associates who were high and stinking up the store, with as long as it was taking, it may have very well been them. Needless to say, I'm no longer a patron of this franchise. Absolutely horrible. I'll drive an hour to give my money...
   Read moreThis place is a joke. The customer service of the managers is horrible, they are not helpful at all. I have delt with them on many different occasions for many different purchases. These are just a couple of my complaints. First one was for clothing, I bought my daughter something that ended up a little small so I brought it back the manager he told me to hang onto it and they would order the next size up then when it came in I could just do an exchange. The order finally came in 6 wks later and it was the same size that I already had and I couldn't get a refund because it was past the 30 days. I also called other stores to find out if they had the size I needed, that is when I found out that i had bought the biggest size. Second was we were looking for a kayak call them up the manager told me that the only Dunham's store that had any was over 100 miles from us and he knew for sure because he had called and was looking on line for another customer. Called a week ago for confirmation of things being in store as it said online and employee told me âonline isnât always rightâ as I just wanted to see if any was in stock before I took the time to drive there again after looking for 3 days for the item. A simple walk over to see if they were actually in the store would of been helpful I wasnât trying to take too much time up as I just wanted to make sure it was in stock as I couldnât order it online due to it being an in store only item. When I called and asked for corporate number I was rudely told how it was online and that I could get to the store myself to look and so then when I got attitude back they then put me on hold in order to try and not get me corporation number.
