So, I was looking for a shop to take my friend to so he could find some little pieces of home. Google searched Britsh Stores and Pondhopper popped up! Let me tell you, we didnt realize what a treat we were in for this morning! They have such a collection of British and Irish goods and at such reasonable prices! From Jammy Dodgers to Barry Tea this shop was full of it all; but that wasnt the best part. We got the pleasure of meeting one of the owners Maureen. SHE WAS FAB! So sweet and offered us a cup of tea and we sat and chatted a while. Truly made our morning. If your looking for a shop to go to for your British & Irish Goods, I DEFINITELY recommend Pondhoppers. The place looked interesting, but it was before opening and someone had urinated in front of it, so the smell was quite bad. Not sure if it came from a drunk or a disgruntled customer. This was my go to English shop for years but since the change of ownership I'm never going back. The owners daughter is the rudest person to ever sit behind a till. There are plenty of other English shops around so I will never be subjected to her horrible attitude again. Update after owners response a year later!!
