I've had several problems with this location over the past couple of years. I'll only mention the most recent set of events that have frustrated me to no end. First I had to have a prescription for Vyvanse for my son. Several times they have just been completely out and sent me to a different store. This time however they informed me I had to call the doctor and have him call the insurance company to verify the script for some reason. Okay I had the paper prescription that was wrote by the Dr why did they have to have him call the insurance. Why not just call them. Anyway turns out his insurance didn't cover Vyvanse anymore so I had to take him back to the Dr for a script for adderall xr. No problem it all got taken care of. Until the Dr tried to call in a script for my other sons inhalor. If you have a serious asthmatic child DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY! The Dr called it in they said they didn't get it. By that time the Dr office had closed so I called the answering service and they found a Dr to e-scribe it. He did this twice and they still didn't get it. I called the Dr again he said he sent it through again! And guess what. Its been four days and I have still yet to have his inhalor. Thank God he's not a serious asthmatic. But I know they're are children out there who could possibly die without this medication. I have been loyal to walgreens for many years now but am seriously debating whether or not I need to take my buisness...
Read moreI caution you to be very careful if you are using 1228 Battlefield Parkwayâs Pharmacy. I received someone elseâs prescription on Monday 12/13/21. Both me and my child have been sick running a fever over the last week, I was so sick neither me nor my husband looked closely at the prescription. I took two doses of A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE that WASNâT meant for me, I was completely knocked out without memory of my night. Slept through 6 alarm and had a full conversation with my husband that I have ZERO memory of. I also cared for my child without knowledge I had taken someone elseâs prescription. I am a breastfeeding mother, this not only effected me but my 5 month old child. I canât feed him any of my milk for up to 24 hours and I work hard to provide milk for him!! I didnât realize until the next day I had the wrong persons prescription. When I called to report, I of course got the I am so sorry this shouldnât have happened but it is inexcusable. Itâs per negligence, they didnât verify the information. I realize mistakes happen but this should be a VERY controlled environment, me and my child should be able to get the CORRECT prescription without having to double check after the pharmacy especially when we have both been sick over the last week running fevers! I am so so upset that not only myself but my child was in danger because the pharmacy was âtoo busyâ to give us the correct...
Read moreI would not recommend. They will tell you your prescription is ready via text and app. Then you may arrive and itâs not actually ready making you come back the next day.
I donât live near this Walgreens but theyâre apparently the only ones that can fill the prescription I have. went to pickup a prescription on Thursday that was called in at 1:45 around 06:00. They said the doctor didnât call it in. I called the doctor. They confirmed it had been called in but the pharmacist told them it hadnât been processed. However, itâll be ready by the time I get there. I checked The app. It said it was ready. I rush to get there before they close and go inside to make it about 10-15 mins before they close to pick up. I give them the info and they said that itâs not ready because I have to pay before they can fill it. Since itâs so close to closing they tell me I have to come back tomorrow. I understand not wanting to stay late. No judgement there. But donât blame the doctor, tell the doctor itâs ready, text me itâs ready, update your app that itâs ready, and you canât even fill it til Ipay. I will have spent about 2 hours back and forth driving to get this filled if itâs actually...
