First off, I never do reviews. So, this for me is a first. I work 3rd shift. A week ago my wife called me in tears to inform me that she had lost her diamond in her wedding ring of 27 years. She had been making Christmas cookies all day. My fear, was that we’d never find the diamond. After 3 hours or so on our hands an knees we found the diamond! To make a long story as short as possible I put the ring and diamond in a zip lock bag and went out the next day in search of having it repaired. My first stop was, well less than helpful or for that matter remotely encouraging. The jeweler informed me that the ring itself was junk, not worth repairing and that a new setting was the way to go. I know my wife. She is sentimental...I wanted HER ring fixed. The jeweler then gave me an astonishing thousand dollar spread plus or minus to fix her, my wife’s ring. Clearly, not wanting my hard earned money, but more importantly, not wanting to repair the ring or see the sentimentality of my brides ring. I then went to Bradley Gough. When I walked in they were extremely busy. It is after all Christmas time. A very nice man walked out from the back to assist me. He listened to my story and happily said, “Let’s get this ring fixed for your wife”. I was so excited, not only to have my wife’s ring fixed, but more importantly, because he cared. As he was filling out my paperwork, I asked him his name. Much to my surprise, it was the owner who’s namesake is on the front door. It is rare these days to see anyone lead from the front! I had no aspersions of thinking that the ring would be done before Christmas. Today is Tuesday, December, 22, 2020. I just received a call, from he, Bradley Gough, the owner, who’s namesake is on the front door. I haven’t seen the ring yet. I’m heading there shortly to pick it up. What I want to close with is this...Christmas day, my wife will again receive the ring I gave her nearly 30 years ago as her engagement ring, and now wedding band. Only, this time my four boys will see and feel the same excitement and joy that I had asking her to spend the rest of her life with me. Because Christmas Day, I’m going to ask her to spend the rest of her life with me again! Thank you for not only granting a HUGE Christmas wish Mr Gough! But for being involved in what is sure to be a great memory! Merry Christmas to you and your family and...
Read moreI'm a watch collector and all my previous purchases have been done online, but when I decided to add the Oris Calibre 400 to my collection I knew this level investment meant I needed to see it in person first. And luck was on my side with an Authorized Dealer being here in town. I contacted Bradley Gough and spoke with Anne. She informed me that had the dial color I wanted in stock, but only in the larger size, and they also had a different color way in stock in the size that I wanted so that I could try them on and make sure I was happy with the design and fit and they'd order the smaller one for me. When she handed me the watch I was blown away. I'd watched and read several reviews of this watch and as striking as it looked on screen, I was blown away by how it looked in person. Anne picked up on the fact I was interested in the Movement driving this piece. She showed me some of the other Oris watches she liked and made it a point to show me one of the Pro-Pilots that had Oris's Calibre 111. She was not trying to sell me these additional pieces, or sway to one of these models they currently had in stock, but just detecting my genuine interest and establishing a friendly rapport.
When we ordered the watch she told me it would take about a week and she'd call me early the following week when she had placed the order. I was thrilled when she called me back a few days later and said I could stop in anytime and pick up the watch. She had taken an attempt at resizing the bracelet, but still needed a few more removed, but it was nice she put in the effort to have it ready to go for when I arrived. She also made it clear that I needed to register the watch with Oris in order to take advantage of the 10 year warranty. She also told me about an Estate seller that hosts events there with used watches and took notes on other pieces I'm interested in.
I have to say Anne really made my first AD experience a joy and I would absolutely recommend doing business with Bradley Gough. I look forward to working with them...
Read moreI brought in a couple of sentimental, older watches for repair at Bradley Gough. According to the company site, they are "experts" in watch repair and offer everything from battery changes to quartz movement and crystal replacement, etc. No job is "too big or small" for them "to handle," in their words.
My watches had mechanical issues (they simply aren't working), which I thought was a battery.
When I came in to pick them up, I was told that it wasn't a battery issue. I then probed further, but the gentleman who was "helping" me shrugged his shoulders and told me they were not able to figure out the problems. I then asked if that was all, and he nodded and said I should take them elsewhere. He was actually quite rude and standoffish.
So, it turns out, Bradley Gough are not "experts" in terms of watch repair and the information on their website is misleading. Which leads this potential customer to question whether they are experts at anything. Of course, maybe I was deemed not "important enough" as a customer, given what I came in for. After all, repairing a watch is a far cry from an engagement ring.
The interesting twist is that I am actually mulling a major jewelry purchase, and was considering Bradley Gough. However, I will surely take my business elsewhere after this poor display of customer service and...
