Being 5 hours away from my usual nail place for the time being is proving challenging to get my nails done so after a lot of Google research I came here. Here's why 3 stars...3 positives.... Pros... Close to where I'm staying, less than 15 minutes in Dallas traffic(which we all know is GREAT) Speed...in my 30+ years of getting my nails done, I've never been in and out in 30 minutes for just nails...start to finish. The price, even with a tip(and yes I tip regardless of how I feel about the service) the cost was reasonable. I've paid more for just nails in the past. And that's where the positives end Cons I did not get what I asked for. I wanted dipping powder and the man who did my nails said ok and proceeded to use acrylic even after I stopped him and said I wanted dip, he said ok and for my French Tip nails, this would be better, and continued with what I know is acrylic. There is a huge difference in application. Maybe because he didn't want to take the time to dip he just did what he wanted. I had other things to do afterwards so it is what it is now. But the next place I go to, I will demand dip as I requested even if that means starting over with the entire service. The damage to my nails from him scraping acrylic off to make the white tips is glaringly evident every time I look at my nails. Once again, speed over quality was most important. And another reason I don't do acrylics. I had a long day and was looking forward to the complimentary drinks everyone mentioned in their reviews and not once was I offered a drink but everyone else was and it shouldn't be my job to ask when no one else had to. I guess they didn't want me to take up time by enjoying a drink while getting my nails done. Again, speed over everything else. My search for a temporary nail salon continues. I've been getting my nails done for too long to settle for fast over quality. I have to look at my nails every day, they don't and I want them how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my go to nail salon & I always love how Iām treated & serviced, but this time I was very displeased with what I left with. Ben or Andrew usually does my nails. This time, someone else did them. I requested acrylic removal. I asked how much it would cost & it seemed like the lady just told me a price from off top of her head. She seemed unsure of the actual price & kept changing it, even changing it one last time after I questioned it. My main issue is- she didnāt let the acetone soak long enough. After not even a couple minutes of the acetone being poured, she proceeds to forcefully RIP the acrylic from my toenails. It hurt me, but I thought surely she knows what sheās doing, right? It wasnāt until she goes to put the nail polish on that I noticed that half of one of my toenails was gone with the nail bed exposed & a few others were rigid/chipped. She moves on to my hands & when it came time for me to leave I realized that she didnāt plan on fixing it at all. I asked her why does my toe nails look like that? She said āIt was already cracked like thatā which is not true because I literally watched her rush & rip the acrylics off one by one. š She tried to cut it down to make it not slanted looking, but the damage was already done. I didnāt get offered a discount of any sort. Actually, she proceeded to still overcharge me with her made up price. Iām a big tipper, but this time I just couldnāt bring myself to tip. I had to go out of town that same night, so I didnāt make a fuss of it then but it bothers me so much that I had to go out of town with messed up feet. If I wanted a rushed job, I couldāve done it at home. If I ever come back, Iāll ask for Andrew or Ben like usual.. &...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI got to the salon at 9:30. I saw that the door said they opened at 10 so I waited on my car with my 3 daughters. At 9:35 two women were let in. The girls and I went and and weāre told that those women had appointments and they do not open until 10. This lady was very nice and that was understandable so of course it was not a problem. We go get drinks (in the same parking lot) and come back at 9:50. By this time, several people are walking in. My daughters and I go in again and this time we check in on the kiosk. 2 of the girls wanted polish, one wanted a press on set glued on and I requested 3 services. We sat and waited. A group walked in behind me and were immediately helped because they were getting pedicures. The salon was filling up so we went back outside to wait. By this time, 2 ladies run out to stop us. One lady asks me to give her 20-30 minutes then she would take care of us. As we waited in the car 3 employees pulled up at about 10:30. They then ushered us in to begin our services. Between 10:30-10:40 all 3 of my girls hands were done. The one who wanted press ons, she lost 2 of them right away, literally just sitting there in her chair. The tech came back to fix it and tried to hurry back to the pedicure chairs again but yet another one popped off. By this time I am completely put off by the service. I thanked them for their service and told them I just was unhappy with all of the rushing. I was perfectly fine until we got in the car and I saw the placement of the nails and how one of them was on upside down!!! CHILDREN DESERVE GOOD SERVICE TOO!! Them being press ons is no excuse and if it was a problem it should have been...
