Golden Chick — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Today was not the day at this location. I came to the store 1-31-2025 at 4:00pm. There was a person in front of me ordering. As soon as it was my turn to order my food, I was told by the employee taking orders to use self-check-out. But I was paying with cash. So, she told me to give her a few minutes and went to take orders in the drive thru. After a few minutes, the employee returned to the front counter to take my order. I ordered 2pc roasted chicken white meat, dirty rice, a side salad, and a catfish combo with a side salad. The food was placed in to go boxes instead of to go plates. I saw her fix 2 other orders on the to go plates, so I immediately checked my food. For my 2pc roasted chicken white meat, I was given 2 legs in the box. Clearly, the menu says white meat, too. The fish combo plate had hard, dried out fish on it. I asked for a refund and received it. I am here at this store at least two times a week, ordering food and never having a problem. I posted a good review for this location in the past, but today, the customer service was a zero. The employee seemed to give me what she wanted me to have, not what I ordered. The food was a zero. When asked for white meat, she said it was still cooking. Why didn't she say that when I was ordering the food? I will not return to this location again. Ok this was the last time. I ordered a gallon of sweet tea and a bag of ice. I arrive to be told all Door dash orders have to be oicked up inside. I reiterate I placed a personal order directly to the Golden Chick website and was advised to come inside to pick up. I drive around, leaving my vehicle running, as I am trying to move as efficiently as possible. Once inside I am not greeted, but am able to view a woman picking her nose directly in the kitchen while on her cell phone. I've known advised two people that I only had ice and tea. They stare at the receipt, they look around the kitchen in dismay, checking fridges and what not. I proceed to say 'its only ice and tea' as the manager is still picking her nose and she walks to the counter, not washing her hands and tells me she can't do anything because it's door dash. 🤯 it's really not rocket science but today I was disgusted. She returned to stir mashed potatoes and gravy after being so nasty and returned to the register handing me a receipt that said my order was voided. There was nothing else. No apology. No kindness. Just gross. Before voiding the transaction she tells me to call corporate because she can't refund it. ZERO STARS DESERVED!!!!!! Never ever eat here unless you want to be sick! I watched someone who claimed to be the assistant manager set a sanitizer bucket on the line where food was at which is a health code violation. The little boy never washed his hands. He was not wearing gloves. He then prepared the fried that I had ordered. I requested for someone else to make my Fries at this was an unsanitary situation. I have been in food industry for years. I have held a managers food handler permit. I can recognize a health code violation when I see it! I have reported them already to the health Department for this violation! I waited 5 minutes while the supposed assistant manager argued with me how about remaking my order Need for he refunded my money as requested. I asked to speak to the store manager not a shift manager and was refused. I given a phone number to call that is a non-working number! What is a store for Spanish people to speak Spanish thinking that people do not understand what they're saying!
