Half Price Books — Local services in Fort Worth

Their customer service is horrible. I got there 40 minutes before they opened and they ended up getting stuck on a phone call I came in with my 14 items for sale and they made me wait behind someone that had seven boxes. When I have brought in orders that large before they have made me wait or come back another day. I am disabled I stood for 25 minutes while she went through seven boxes and check them in. From the time she touched my bag of 14 DVDs to the time she called my name was 9 minutes. She did not go anywhere else or do anything else for that 9 minutes. There is no reason 14 DVDs should take 9 minutes especially when they only bought six.

When I complained to the manager she gave me excuses and then apologized for the long wait. I told her there was another girl that came by three or four times and the girl doing the BuyBacks refused to let her take my short sale.

I will never go to a half price books again. When it comes to selling movies I get better service at Josey records, game exchange, and movie trading company in hurst.

I have worked customer service for 25 years if any of my staff acted the way that they did it half price books today they wouldn't at minimum get a write-up. Work avoidance and poor customer service. If they made a habit of it they wouldn't have a job. yes going slow is a form of work avoidance. It was the first 20 minutes of opening that I went in there so it's not like they were tired at the end...

Had a great time stopping in with the family. The staff was very nice and welcoming upon us coming in to this wonderful location. There was definitely more than a little something for all of us. Huge selection of not only books, but DVD, blu-ray, collectables, calendars and so much more. Prices are as advertised with being half price. With that being said if you're seeking to sell your books here your not going to get much as they will be reselling them for 1/2 price. There was a few places to sit and read as I waited for the family to finish looking. This location was very clean and well organized with staff working feverishly to get more books processed and out onto the shelves. Parking was plentiful and easy to access, but there was a huge number of dead grasshoppers or crickets just outside of the front doors which was unappealing yet interesting at the same time. Either way we found more than we were looking for and will be back to check...

Warning the employees will call the police even if you are doing nothing wrong or Illegal Pre covid they were a great place to shop now I'm afraid to return for fear of getting arrested for not being liked I don't know how they went downhill so fast Plus I am fully vaccinated and even shown them my vaccine card

I was at half price books in Burleson Because I refused to wear a mask they called the cops on me to have the cops arrest me they also refused to let me buy a movie that I was willing to pay for The cops need to deal with drunk drivers drug dealers murderers etc. not get called out because someone was not breaking the law and was not in emergency distress I refused to tell them that I had ran for city council or that I am going to run for city council next year because you need to treat everyone equally and not discriminate for any reason Treat others as you wish to be treated aka...
