It’s been a little over a year since my epoxy flooring was applied to my garage floor and it is in the worst condition. This company did a horrible job and should be investigated. When the floor was initially completed I noticed there were hard peaks throughout. It was not smooth and flat and the rough peaks made it very difficult to clean the floor. Then after the first 6 months I started noticing a weird orange fluid but it didn’t process to me that it was coming up from the ground. By the 8th month I noticed bubbling, and by the year milestone the floor was cracked open in several places. When I reached out to have the floor assessed and repaired the service man explained that it was water damage. Not the water damage a normal person would suspect, moisture coming from below the ground and unable to escape through the epoxy coating causing damage. There was no test done prior to recommending a service to me. There was no education provided about this risk until after the damage was done. I was told my warranty would not cover the damage and that I would have to pay for the entire floor from scratch in addition to the special application of an additional chemical to ensure it didn’t happen again. I was offered nothing! Not even an apology. Another service person called and for 45 minutes explained the science and blamed me and said there is no evidence that they didn’t offer the coating needed to prevent this type of damage. I promise you they did not explain to me anything about this type of water damage, I was not recommended the coating and they did no testing to determine if I would have issues. The service person said there was no way to test. I just had Garage King come over to assess and provide an estimate and they did a water test that took seconds to determine the floor had a score of 5/7 but also recommended coming back to do another test that takes 3 days but provides more information. Please do not use this company. They are unethical and they are dishonest about the quality of their product and service. Garage Kings also pointed out that part of the floor yellowed from sun damage and that they have a coating that would prevent that. Don’t use this company!! You will regret it!! Garage Kings seems to be the better choice for sure!! Will do more research and...
Read moreI used Premier Garage to install an epoxy surface in my garage (specifically the PremierOne High Performance Flake Flooring) and I had a great experience. The two technicians that worked on our garage were Isaiah and Jacob and they did a fantastic job (I definitely recommend them if you get the chance). They arrived right on time both days when they were working on our garage. On the first day, they explained the process and everything they needed to do (like filling cracks, grinding the surface, etc.). My garage floor had some pretty sizable cracks (larger than what they typically encounter), likely due to shifting that had damaged the floor. I also don’t have any expansion joints in my garage floor which definitely doesn’t help. These cracks needed to be repaired/filled first before they could start to lay down the epoxy, so they did the repairs on day one and then put the first coat of epoxy down along with the flakes at the end of day one. They tidied everything up before they left and explained that they’d be back the next day to finish the job. The next day they arrived right on time and finished by putting another coating down (a clear top coat) after cleaning up all the excess flakes from the day before. Before they left, they explained exactly how long the floor would need to cure before I walked on it or put any heavy items back into the garage. They also gave me a brief overview of what I should expect to receive regarding correspondence from the main office. There was definitely a strong smell the second day (but that was to be expected and was also explained in advance). We are very pleased with the outcome of the job, so I wanted to leave a review about my experience. Hopefully others will have a similar positive experience if you use this company for your garage flooring needs. Thanks again to Isaiah and Jacob for making this such a positive experience from...
Read moreI waited two months to write this in the hopes that Tailored Living would pull through, but they haven't.
This company is absolutely horrible at communication and don't really seem to care that they haven't finished my garage.
They first came to do my garage floors, that went very smoothly and turned out to look very good, so great start. The next week when they came to install cabinets they let me know that they didn't have the overhead storage units we had ordered but would probably get them in soon. It would have been great to have someone tell me that in advance, but the crew had to do it when they were starting to install the cabinets. After they started they realized that there was an error in the measurements so they had to take one cabinet back to get cut down to the right size.
They delivered the cut down cabinet and installed it along with some shoe racks that wouldn't stay stuck to my slat wall. They told me they would replace those with different models which sounded great.
Since that day they have totally vanished. They have given me windows where someone would come to replace the shoe racks on two separate occasions that no one showed up for and when I write an email they just say "we are short staffed". When I ask about the overhead racks they either say "we should hear this Friday" or "we haven't heard anything yet". No one will write me without me asking what is going on. I think they have abandoned this job.
Summary, if you can get them to do the work it's good, but if something isn't going to happen they won't tell you and don't seem like they will ever finish.
Find another company to work with. It's too much money to spend on such...
