Update Sept. 2023: Revisited and impression is the same except they kept bringing food out to people who arrived later than us so we had to bring it to the attention of the server who agreed that was weird and brought our food soon afterward. Prices have increased so check--unfortunately, their website doesn't provide price info about all you can eat fish nights or the Sunday buffet. All you can eat fish fries are getting harder and harder to find so $13.99 bought us over to Sun City West for a look and it was a nice surprise to see a cozy family run eatery on a golf course. The inside is nothing to look at, but it's clean; however, there is plenty of seating outside overlooking the golf course and I bet if there was a spectacular sunset, you'd be among the first to know about it! They have heaters for those chillier evenings, so that's handy. Very efficient hostess seated us and there were reserved tables so that would be convenient if you wanted to get together with friends. They also serve a few beers on tap and I paid $4.24 for 16 oz of a hazy IPA I'd never had so that was a nice surprise since not only is it tough to find a tasty and reasonably priced all you can eat fish fry, but finding one with tap beer seems to be even tougher to find. The little amt. of coleslaw was tasty and I wish there would have been more. The crinkle cut cut fries seemed the typical cooked from frozen diner fare, but oh the cod! Succulent, steaming hot from the fryer, and definitely not pieces parts, but solid fish in a crunchy batter. We kept the server busy refilling the fish basket. My previous visit last month found the waitstaff masked yet this time they weren't so that was disappointing, however, my favorite ninja-like busboy was masked and was as stealthy yet speedy as last...
Read moreWhile the service was mediocre the food was even worse. I don't think it's too much to ask for when I say I'd like to eat my omelet, not drink it. The hashbrowns were barely cooked and tasted like they had no seasoning and had come straight from the freezer (whether or not that's how they do hashbrowns, I don't know, but that's what it tasted like). No amount of salt and pepper could save them. My toast was soggy and could hardly be considered toast at all. Our waitress was especially awful. She didn't listen to a word we said. We asked for tea for two of the people in our party. She brought us all coffee. She was asked for hot water for tea and literally brought a cup of hot water. No tea. Just hot water. She rarely checked on us making it difficult to get refills for coffee. We had to get up and go ask for our own waters because she was nowhere to be found. When she did check on us, it seemed like she couldn't get away from us fast enough. I ordered my food and then had a question, but by the time I looked up she was gone. I never got to ask my question. The only good thing about this breakfast was the coffee and the people...
Read moreSTAY AWAY I really wish I could have left 0 stars. This was by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to. We went for friday fish fry all you can eat. The place was filthy. The floors and the walls were disgusting, and there were flies all over the place! On top of that the service was HORRENDOUS, absolutely awful!!! They got our order wrong twice!! And didn't make eye contact with us as we were waiting to place another order, and there were only 3 other customers in there. Doesn't stop there, the baked fish was OK , the french fries and coleslaw were nasty, and the tarter sauce was basic and tasteless. My neighbor raved about the price, which I was not impressed by either, I looked over their menu which I thought the prices were the same as any where else. please save yourself from this horror! Bad bad...
