Worst customer service experience ever. I live about three hours away but frequent the store every time I'm in the area. They have some really good things at good prices. However, I agree with several reviews that I've read that hardly anything is priced and the employees always seem rushed and busy and make you feel extremely intimidated to ask for a price. There have been several things I would've purchased but I didn't want to ask the price so I moved on. Anyway, my experience this time was... I purchased a lamp and there was only one of them. I needed 2. Sherry, the owner told me she could order me another one and bring it to me because she would be coming to my area in the next couple of weeks. I never heard a word! Now, three months later I have been given every excuse in the book as to why she hasn't brought my lamp or refunded me after telling me 3-4 times she is planning a specific day to come. I even offered multiple times to pay to have it shipped. A response was never given or even addressed when it was mentioned. I think it's a very bizarre that Sherry herself has never reached out. I have reached out multiple times looking for updates, offering to pay the shipping, and it's always put off on an employee. I was just told a few days ago, so that I wouldn't be disappointed any further, I was going to be fully refunded for the lamp and Sherry was still going to bring the lamp to me this past weekend. The weekend came and went and I never heard from Sherry! I texted one of the employees, (not even sure who I've been dealing with thru text) on Saturday of last week asking if the lamp was still coming?? As I have done several times now… I got no response. Finally, yesterday, Wednesday, someone from the shop text me and said if I would call Pd's they would process my refund over the phone. I called today and the girl was nice but absolutely no apology, NOTHING!!!! Just a refund. I'm flabbergasted!!! I've never, ever experienced customer service like this. Hence, their rating. My recommendation would be if you go into shop, only buy what's priced - in my experience this is usually only a few things - because you don't want to annoy anyone by asking the price - and whatever you do don't order anything! In early May, I realized the small piles of sawdust I had been frequently vacuuming up under one of them was due to wood boring insects (powder post beetles - I didn't even know these existed before this happened and I truly wish I still didn't know about them). I've repeatedly asked to return these nightstands. The owner agrees this is unacceptable but places the blames her importer (since the beetles most likely came over in the wood the furniture was made with) so she won't take them back. She's stopped responding to my messages at this point. I know they don't typically take returns, but I would think being sold furniture that came complete with bugs would be grounds for making an exception to that rule.
