This place was so hopeful yet ended most disappointing. The front folks were great! The food was cooked. The water in the corner was more like be sure to take a partner to help because there was only a small amount in the bottom of the container therefore someone had to lift and tilt it while someone else held the cups because there was also a the little fan that couldn’t sitting in the corner blowing hot air all around. The food was likely cooked just by sitting out on a counter top because the sweat and heat from around the place likely cooked the food. It was nauseating. It was cooler outside than it was inside, and that’s saying a lot because it was hot outside. The cinnamon roll was definitely microwaved before being brought out. The stale texture yet smoldering insides of this burnt creation was not made anytime today. When the food finally arrived it was mediocre at best. Sure we finished our food not because it was good but because we’ve been waiting for an hour to eat and enjoy this great rated restaurant. We even skipped breakfast so we could enjoy! Next time it’ll be Waffle House for us. As we are sitting there with food in front of us wondering where are drinks were the cheese grits showed up and certainly didn’t show out. The fried chicken on the East nasty meal, definitely lived up to its name. Burnt egg plopped on top. And what cut of meat was that?! Just the skin? While we sat with only a small amount of water from the corner, we asked for our drinks we paid for. Those came in like a wrecking ball, the bloody was fine but I was finished eating so not as enjoyable. My husband got a hot coffee drink that was spilled down his leg and all over the floor by the server. Server then got some towels threw them at my husband and said you got that? And left him to clean himself and the floor. Also we are the kind of folks to order more than one cocktail but we had to escape the heat and disgust. Thanks but no thanks, no biscuit love. I mean was that a biscuit or a shortbread cookie meets a dried play...
Read moreThis was overall a great breakfast location and worth going to. Came into the area for a concert and ate at the Franklin TN location. Couple pros and cons... 1. Attempted to call ahead for a reservation, but message says they don't take...unsure about a wait-list, etc ... until arriving and a nice TN lady in line explained. We went on a Sunday morning arriving about 1030...had to park about a block away. Know that this was prime "brunch time" and a bit of a wait was a given. They truly don't have a wait-list or take reservations. You stay in line until you reach the order counter, then get seated, then they bring your food. With the line being (very) long, it still only took about 40 minutes to get to the order counter and about 15 to get the food. I was told after, by a friend, they started as a food truck, and run the permanent locations similarly still. It went faster than expected, but there is not really seating during the wait -so be mindful if you have persons in your party that can't stand for a bit. ...btw ..the closer you get to the door, you can see a sign explaining this process. 2. The food was amazing. Our party pretty much ordered everything on the menu and it was awesome. Not the "healthiest" of breakfast... But "biscuit" is literally in the name... Don't go if you are like looking for a quality salad. ... Btw... Try the biscuits - they are definitely on point. 3. The sign out front mentions if you need anything - just let them know, they will be happy to get whatever that might be (to cleverly include a high five). This point is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Our party did ask for butter and jam, but it never came. Same with one of our people needing a refill on coffee. Overall... Wish I could have rated a 4.75 out of 5.... The place was SOoo close to...
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! First off let me say, I have no idea why this is listed as a must do in Franklin. I was so excited to finally eat here and beyond disappointed. Went when there was probably 3 parties in the whole restaurant, there where dishes all over every empty table (I work in the industry so I understand if you are extremely busy and it being a little crazy) but it was empty. The lady rushed us through taking our order, we where told to sit at a dirty table and someone would eventually clean it. (Dishes all over it kind of dirty) our food came out 4 minutes after we order it. Drenched in warm gravy and sauce to cover up the fact the food was made hours ago. Our drinks that was just a mimosa and coffee came half way through our meal. The food tasted like it was made hours before hand and was sitting under a heat lamp. Everything was luke warm and the child’s French Toast was filled to the brim of the bowl with syrup. My two year old wouldn’t even eat it, because it was soaked and would just fall apart because it was so saturated. The fried chicken on top of the biscuit wasn’t even crunchy like fried chicken. It was soft and mushy. The coffee tasted like water and bitterness and mimosa was basically orange juice. I’m sure when they first started this restaurant up it was good, but they’ve clearly become too big for themselves and stopped caring about quality, and instead about how much food they can push out at once. Definitely not worth $90 for just 2 people and a baby! I suggest if you aren’t going to make quality breakfast food, that you should lower...
