The White Magnolia Nashville — Local services in Franklin

Carolina at The White Magnolia-Nashville was truly a dream to work with at this new Nashville location. I live in Nebraska, but am getting married in Nashville next year. Although I visited and found some top contenders for my wedding dress in Nebraska, I was having a hard time committing as each dress (although beautiful) was missing something and I couldn’t pinpoint what. As a result, when we went for a weekend of wedding planning in Nashville, I figured why not see if any dress shop in Nashville had available appointments? Maybe they had a different selection! I had no realistic belief that I would actually buy a dress being from out of town!

Carolina (the manager) managed to get me in for an appointment with 48 hours notice. More importantly, she actually read my appointment request (which probably said something like “uh…I found dresses I really like, but can’t figure out why they aren’t the ‘one’”… very articulate) and immediately texted me to ask me to send her pictures of my top contenders and my hesitations about each one in order to make sure she had a selection that would not waste my time. From our texts, she curated a beautiful selection of dresses that were spot-on in the realm of what I liked! At our appointment, she gave amazingly helpful tips in narrowing which dresses were dresses we wanted to revisit at the end of the appointment and which should be knocked out right away. She blended the perfect combination of being supportive and soothing, but also realistic and serious about the dresses in order to guide me (a master in indecision) to making choices and actually figuring out what I wanted.

At the end of it all, I left the shop with 2 dresses in mind, and booked a follow-up appointment to come back two days later before I flew out. When I threw her a curveball an hour before the appointment to ask if I could revisit one dress that we had earlier tried on, but had not made the “top 2” cut, she responded immediately with affirmation and supportive words – she never made me feel like a burden! By that afternoon, I had settled on that 3rd dress (a dress she had pulled for me at our first appointment that I may have never picked out on my own) and left the shop with a receipt in hand (as well as some congratulations goodies!) and gratitude that Carolina carefully and respectfully guided me toward a dress that I am extremely excited about.

As an aside, the White Magnolia-Nashville location is truly a pristine and beautiful little shop – I wish that I could borrow the interior decorator for my own home! Thank you to Carolina for easing my worries and helping me finally...

I went over Memorial Day weekend and had Meagan as my stylist. Making an appointment was very easy and they had plenty of availability if booking in advance.

The shop is nice and quiet, with private rooms for each group. Meagan was ready for us and very welcoming. She allowed us to browse the stock room for a few minutes and pull whatever dresses we liked to start with. Most of the dresses are just on hangers on a long rod - no mannequins. They also had a small selection of dresses from a traveling trunk show from a specific designer. After pulling them, we started with the try-ons.

This is where Meagan was night and day better than anyone else I had worked with. She listened very carefully to everything my group and I said about the dress and picked up instantly on what I liked and didn't like. She offered minimal opinions of her own, which I appreciated, and made absolutely NO judgmental statements. After trying on my first group of dresses, she disappeared and came back with another handful for me to try on, many of which I hadn't even noticed. Eventually, the dress I loved was not one I had originally picked out! She let me take as much time as I needed on each dress and even go back and forth. She was an expert at clipping me in and knew how to showcase the dresses best, even previewing some bustling techniques.

Ultimately I found one that I really liked but I had another appointment in Nashville and didn't feel comfortable deciding until I tried on all my options. The shop was closed the following day and I was only in town for the weekend. My prior appointment allowed me just enough time to book it back to Franklin if I wanted to buy the dress. Meagan was very accommodating and encouraged(!) me to go to my last appointment. She was willing to wait a little after her last appointment of the day in case I wanted to come back to buy the dress. I ended up texting her that I was on my way back and she graciously stayed so I could purchase.

Dress arrived a little before their estimated time. I live out of state, so it was shipped first to them and then to me. Packing was perfect and they shipped it promptly with a tracking number. Great communication. Meagan's measurements were pretty much spot on, too. Truly a great experience and I would recommend this...

I had the BEST experience at the White Magnolia in Franklin, TN. From the moment I searched their website to the day of my appointment, I felt they truly wanted me to have the most stress free and fun experience finding my dress! First, their website is incredibly helpful in thinking through what styles you think you like. I was very frustrated with other websites who just listed designers but did not let you see their actual inventory. The White Magnolia posts every dress they have available with the option to heart dresses into your personal “look book” to be pulled on the day of your appointment. On the day of, the consultant Hannah was WONDERFUL! She not only pulled all the dresses I had hearted but did a great job picking dresses she had in mind that were similar to my style, while also pushing me beyond my comfort zone a little! It truly helped narrow down my choices! My dress ended up being one that I had not hearted but that Hannah pulled for me! After trying on all of her picks, they let you search the show room yourself to calm any doubt that you may be “missing” a dress! They let me put on my final two dresses back and forth while I decided, adding veils and bouquets to both for the full affect! They were INCREDIBlY patient with me as I went back and forth and gave their honest opinion which helped me narrow down to my dress! After 7 appointments, I truly had FUN for the first time here.
