Food was good, except the egg on a couple of our bennies was way over cooked and not runny like it should have been. However, the reason I am writing this review is because the server made my party feel extremely uncomfortable. Chyler was our sever, and the only reason we knew her name is because we overheard her tell another party when they immediately sat down. So we sit down, and she immediately comes to us to take our drink order, without introducing herself or telling us her name. We tell her just water for now but we will order more drinks when we get a chance to look at the menu. She comes back shortly after, and without a word and with one hand she slams both waters onto the table and walks away. About five minutes later she comes back and says “you guys are good with just water, right?” and we said no, as we already told her we were gonna be ordering more drinks. Throughout the whole dining experience, she had a very sarcastic tone when speaking to us. However, when hearing her speak to other tables she was very sweet and had a completely different tone to her voice. She even introduced herself to new customers at her table. Our whole table noticed the difference in the way she treated us and it made us all very uncomfortable. We are not sure if it’s because our IDs showed we were from out of state, as she made an unnecessary, uncomfortable comment about us being from out of town. Overall, the food was good, not great, and the service was unpleasant and awkward. I would go back, but I would be very disappointed if Chyler was my server again. Unless, she decided to use her nice personality on my table, like she showed she was capable of doing with...
Read moreVery disappointing from beginning to end. For starters we arrived around noon on Sunday and checked in with the hostess who stood outside. We were told the wait for 2 people would be 45 min to an hour. It took 1 hour and 40 min before we were finally seated. We eat out alot and realize it is busier downtown and this was a new place but we have never waited anywhere that long for breakfast. The checkin with the hostess was clumsy and disorganized and people were not seated in order.
While we waited, we decided to get a mimosa at the the bar area. We waited at the bar for almost 20 min and were never greeted or served by the facially pierced bartender. The bar was a sticky mess and the garbage cans were overflowing. Management and customer service were M.I.A.
Once we were finally seated on very uncomfortable hard wooden stools with no back at a tiny cramped table, I ordered the Bananas Foster Pain Perdu. 20 min later the dish arrived as a soggy mess of glorified French toast topped with mushy bananas and swollen raisins completely drowned in a sickeningly sweet caramel flavored syrup. Please see the picture I posted as proof of this disgusting breakfast I waited a total of 2 hrs to eat. My husband ordered the fish over a grit cake that was served hard, dry and tasteless.
Overall a disgusting experience and we will never go back. I am completely astonished at the cheap tables, metal chairs and hard wooden stools, the lack of customer service from any single employee and the disgusting food. Go literally anywhere else and let's all hope the next restaurant that replaces them works harder at customer service, ambiance and...
Read moreEnjoyed brunch here with family on a Sunday morning. We went online and joined the waitlist prior to arriving and were able to be seated right away. We all wanted to start off with an adult beverage. So I ordered the Ruby Mimosa, the other two people in my party ordered Bloody Mary's, one with the bacon infused vodka, the other regular vodka. Liquor laws restrict the restaurant from serving "hard liquor" before 11 am. The waiter advised us of this and we went ahead and ordered the drinks, knowing the Bloody Mary's would be delayed. The Mimosa was just Ok. Once the other drinks arrived I tried them both and preferred the bacon infused vodka over the plain. As for the food, I ordered the Southern BLT topped with an egg for $1 extra, someone ordered the Breakfast Tacos with Chorizo and the other guest ordered the White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes. My BLT was very good the egg yolk maybe could have been a bit more runny, but it was less messy to eat the way it was prepared. I did try the chorizo from the breakfast taco and it was yummy. The pancakes tasted ok, but they were absolutely a dessert disguised as breakfast. To be fair, I am not a huge fan of white chocolate. It is cloying sweet to me, so how anyone can eat an entire plate of these pancakes is beyond me. In all, the service was great, the food was good, and I will...
