My family and I were initially excited to have another Frederick Cava location open nearby, as we have always enjoyed dining at your establishments. However, after two visits to this new location, there are concerns regarding food quality, customer service, and overall experience. We were disappointed by several aspects during our first visit on August 2nd. We were charged extra for rice without being informed beforehand. Only when the receipt was printed did we notice the additional charge. In our previous experiences at Cava, we have never been charged extra for rice, and if there is a new policy, it would have been appreciated if the staff had informed us before checkout. The pita chips we received were fried too hard, making them unenjoyable. Unfortunately, our second visit on August 25th did not improve our impression. I initially wanted to order a Tahini Caesar Bowl, which I had seen on your online menu. However, when I asked the worker about it, I was confused and told by two employees that Cava does not offer this bowl. This inconsistency between your online menu and in-store offerings could have been more frustrating. I requested my sauce on the side, which was honored in previous visits. However, the second worker in the assembly line was distracted and almost put the sauces on my bowl, leading to an awkward exchange with the first worker, who commented on the lack of attention. The cashier, who later came to assist, appeared disengaged and admitted that she couldn’t hear well. This made ordering more difficult, mainly as she conversed with her coworkers instead of focusing on completing our transaction. I usually never have issues here and have great service. Today the guy Jeremy was making my bowl dropped the a piece of spinach behind the counter idk where and puts in my my bowl. I couldn't believe it. I spoke up immediately and said why did you do that? He looked at me clueless and I said why would you do that and where did that drop? He still just looked at me.... I said I don't want it. So he picked a piece out not even knowing which one dropped. I was shocked. So then other girl told him to make a new one with a attitude problem. They clearly all looked miserable like they hate their jobs. Well get new ones change your outcome. I have worked in retail and food service. Have a smile and lose your attitude problem. That is what is wrong with our entitled society be thankful you have a job. Also, at the end I asked for dressing on the side what did they do put in right on my bowl. Literally worst service ever. Worst part doesn't take a rocket scientist to do the job. Let alone it's not hard. Imagine working in the heat all day or a labor job. I will not be returning to this poor...
