2023 Update: We went from 3 stars to 2, now it's from 2 to 1...Same stuff on a different day, only worse! The extra meet is $3.20, and the double meat portion isn't bad, but it isn't what it should be. Go to Quick Fire in Germantown or Sarku in Rockville, and you will learn what double meat is. The Yum Yum sauceat this place is darn near water and has little flavor. To add insult to injury, the restaurant seating area is still closed like we're in Covid. All of their supplies are in the general eating area, while th condiments are put away (sou sauce, Sriracha, etc.) If you want something, you have to ask for it. I give this place a few more years, and they'll be closing their doors if they don't change up.

Update: I went back after having not been in some time and ordered extra meet for the $2.50. When my order came I had a regular portion and had to point it out to the guy, show my receipt, and then they fixed the portion. Also had to ask for vegetables. The wait was tremendously long, and all of the staff were focused on chilling and talking amongst one another rather than getting food out. What was once a good grab is now a shell of what once was. Decreased rating from 3 stars to 2. Sorry guys, the bento box couldn't save it this time....a poor experience is a poor experience, and service plays a major role in being able to enjoy your meal.

Original post: Good food with fair prices. The ability to mix/match (double) meats is a pleasant option. However, the three star rating is due to the lack of volume of meat in a regular order. The amount of l A rice, noodles, or 50/50 mixture serves as a filler, and they have watered down the YUM-YUM sauce tremendously. It is more watery than saucy. It was disappointing for what was once a great alternative to a conventional restaurant with the speed of a fast food establishment. Appears they have sacrificed quality to push quantity and focused on speed rather than maintaining a better product. Their Bento Box and sushi prevented a 2...

Okay, where do I start. If you want a quick fix for hibachi, this place is just OK, food wise. The food is average, at best. The ventilation system in this restaurant is terrible, meaning, if you walk in, you’ll certainly walk out with grease smell all over your clothes and hair. It’s inescapable. It’s as if you worked a full day’s shift there and you’re bringing the restaurant smell home. What makes the entire experience even worse and the rationale for my rating, really comes down to poor service. The Asian man managing the register and taking the orders is absolutely rude and very, very cold. It’s as if he’s angry with you for coming to the restaurant and wants nothing to do with you besides, taking your money. His face and body language is as if he despises you and that the only thing that concerns him is for you to pay up and be gone. I’ll be careful how I say this next part, but I have young daughters and they are uncomfortable coming to this restaurant because of the intense and inappropriate stares and whispers from the cooking staff, all of them! It’s as if they are deprived men that have never seen women before. This is a commonly known issue amongst the teenage girl community in this area. These are HS girls. If the service and the environment was much better, it would probably make the food more tolerable, but overall the food is below average and again the service...

Went here for lunch around 11:30 and it was dead, only one other person sitting inside eating. The person working the register where you order had zero social skills. He just stood there, wouldn’t make eye contact and touched the computer when you said what you wanted. I said thank you several times and he never said a word except at the very end asking if I wanted my receipt.

The portion sizes are big. I got the chicken hibachi with half and half noodle and rice (no extra price which I was happy about). You only get one small little side of yum yum sauce for a large container of food which is unfortunate. Additional sides of sauce are .50 each. The food appeared to be already cooked and was put in containers quickly. I did like that I was asked if I wanted teriyaki sauce on top and how much at the end. The food was decent. Kind of dry but sauce made it better. I’ve had better hibachi at a mall food court though.

I attempted to use the bathroom which appeared to be unlocked and there was a gap between the door and frame. However it was locked and an employee was standing there next to the door on his phone and said “I think someone is in there”.

I did feel a little uncomfortable as I left as there were about 5 employees just standing behind the counter with nothing better to do them stare at me...

Omg, I order salmon with shrimp and it was the most disgusting salmon I've ever tried. Not only they cut it like strips and they over fry it. Who does that! And it was the most fishiest salmon ever! It tastes like it's been sitting out for a while, and I'm big on seafood, and the shrimps are soooo small. And charged you an arm n leg for it! I THINK FROM NOW ON IM JUST GOING TO COOK!!!! Whoever would eat here is going to be waisting their money. Don't go here if you want to save your money is not worth it!!

One of my favorite spots to grab a bento box. It typically is crowded, but I have never waited more than 10-15 minutes. For a quick fast food version of a sit down Hibachi restaurant, I am always satisfied. For $13 I think it is fair and decent size portions. The meat can be tough at times and vegetables are mostly cabbage, but you get what you pay for. The staff has always been pleasant to me. The seating area is very limited and hopefully they will open that back up.

Horrible customer service Asian kid at the counter on feb 19 2022 9:34 pm was rude made me walk out in the cold over 9 cents had a right mind to throw it at him decided on this review instead everytime I come here I get bad customer service from him, and I think it’s time to find a replacement. And the glass is now so dirty you can’t see through it.
