These guys sold my friend, who is a regular customer that speaks highly of them, a Grateful Dead item as if it was signed by the entire band. I am a huge Deadhead and do not have anything signed by Jerry Garcia. So when my friend shot me a photo of said item, I was elated! I sent her $500 for the item. (It was sold to her for $475.) I discovered when I took some posters in to get framed that the item is a replica. I called the Record Exchange to explain the situation. I told them that I understand people make mistakes, that I am a huge promotor of independent record shops and that I don't even expect a refund, but that any sort of credit would be amazing if I could return the item. The guy on the phone not only told me he could not do anything for me, but had the audacity to suggest that I sell it on eBay.

Do NOT trust these guys. They are dishonest and took advantage of a regular customer. Basically "stole" nearly $500 from me.

Edit: I was NOT sent a photo of the back of the item. Had I been, I would not have even considered buying it. Also, I live in Wisconsin so did not even receive the item within a week of its purchase. Wish that I could rate this store higher than 5 stars! Called them yesterday about a very rare record they had, and they kindly offered to hold it for me for a few days until I could make it to the store (I live an hour away). I was able to shift my schedule and make the drive to the store today, and got there right at opening. Not only did they have the record I had called about, they also had another rare record I was looking for. Pricing was more than fair, and the staff was so kind! I really appreciate the way I was treated as a customer, they really went above and beyond any experience I've had elsewhere. 7/22 paid this store a visit terrible selection even worse employees.

Kid working here was hellbent on organizing section "M" while I was browsing. Almost took my fingers off while I was looking in section L when he slammed 10 records into the M section 1 inch from my fingers. Walked up to the register to spend over $100 kid working counter didn't even greet me. No thank you for shopping here or anything handed bag for the most unprofessional transaction I have experienced. Done with this place. half the experience in wasting all this money collecting vinyl is the connecting with local stores and cool people.
