First time trying, what ahorrible impression. Zero stars. It was super hot in there. Very rude and miserable service, and the (owners/manager?) behind the counter was unfriendly and unaccomodating in general. The food and drinks were terrible, ovepriced for the quantity and quality. The food specifically was stale, not fresh, looked/smelled bad, portion was small, and terrible presentation . First the person who took my order claimed they were out of ice for iced coffee/tea drinks when I tried to order a iced latte or iced tea drink, then I saw a man come in after me and get an iced coffee (with ice). I went up and asked about it and the man behind the counter mumbled to me with his back turned that they were 'low on ice'. When I asked if I could also have ice for my coffee they refused even though a man just left with an iced coffee he had just ordered. So, I guess they pick and choose who they give iced drinks to? Very strange. Then it took them almost 20 minutes to make a small Capaccino. They seemed to remake it several times and it still wasn't any good. The two overpriced sandwiches I ordered were not edible. The 'guacamole' on the bagel I ordered was dark and brownish, its looked and smelled rotten. A couple of pieces of old, hot lettuce and fruit randomly tossed in the box was described on the menu as fruit and salad sides for the sandwiches. The other 'Prowich' I ordered was tiny, the bread was really stale/hard, it was supposed to come on baguette but came on small pieces of white, stale bread, the prosciutto was extremely sparse and not fresh, the ingredients smelled really bad. I had to throw everything out and get food somewhere else. A complete waste of over $30 and a tip for carryout food which they did not deserve. If you don't believe me look at some of the other low reviews and similar experiences on here, I wish I had before coming here. I would have gone to get a refund but given the staff's demeanor, I doubted they would comply with that request. Really frustrating to throw money away on expensive, bad food in this economy. Update regarding the owners response to my review: So this business owner falsley accuses me of being rude to his staff because I left a honest, negative review. I am always polite to people in the service industry as I worked in it for years. I was very pleasant and patient with the staff. I also tipped them on a to go order despite horrible service, food, and refusal to make items that were listed on their menu and that they clearly had available. I sat and patiently waited for twenty minutes for them to make one small Capaccino which he made his staff member remake, and then ended up making himself for some reason. He also seemed to be riding this staff member about how she was making the food. She looked miserable to be there, I can see why now. I only inquired why, after being told I could not have an iced coffe drink because they were out if ice and then watching them give another customer an iced latte 15 minutes later, about why I was denied an iced drink. . Now this owner is making false accusations after I wasted over $30 on subpar and bad food that I had to throw out. I give establishments that have earned it good reviews and Intip very well, also if earned. I worked in the food/beverage/hospitality business for many years and know what good service looks like. Again, there were multiple other very low reviews about this restaurant and this owner/managers bad attitude which reflect the same bad experience I had. This owner makes derogatory comments and argues with customers criticisms under each review instead of trying to improve what went wrong. I ended up having to pay to get food at another restaurant nearby and it was fine. This owner personally attacking someone for telling the truth about their experience and frustration over wasted money on bad food and service just shows that he is not a good or respectful business person.

This was my first visit and I’ve gotta say, it was pretty good. The food was awesome. Simple, but it’s prepared nicely and tastes great. The presentation was very photo worthy. I must say the boba drink was pretty average, I probably wouldn’t specifically go there for boba, however it was a nice addition to the rather wonderful breakfast sandwich. I ordered the Panme, it consisted of prosciutto ham, with Swiss and some other cheese. The bread was toasted nicely and not greasy at all. The side salad had a tasty dressing and the fruits were a lovely addition. In conclusion, the meal was very nice. The atmosphere was very cute and aesthetic. Every room was a bit different but overall delivered the same vibe. There was plenty of outdoor seating along with indoor seating. I noticed there was even a table for an entire family of 6 and it’s not cramped either. The lady up front was very welcoming and had a positive attitude! Ordering was a bit confusing as I wasn’t sure if it was upfront or once we sat down, but nothing a quick question didn’t fix. Overall, I would definitely visit again! They had many things I’d like to try next!

We were curious about Ibiza Cafe as it evolved from a cute 19th century townhouse into a European-style Coffee house. We love to stop at places like this while we are on bicycle tours in France, Italy, Spain and Germany. The owner and staff are, as described, super-friendly. They are Coffee and Tea aficianados, and I LOVE coffee! The owners introduced my wife to some amazing teas which she loves. Their sweets are always very fresh and delicious. It's a great place to calm down, escape the busy downtown, have a beverage and maybe also some lunch or wonderful Belgian Waffles. The owners are very interested in your safety during the COVID-19 Pandemic; they follow the CDC guidelines. You must try Ibiza Cafe the next time you are in Frederick MD. We return often. Today Dec 2, 2021, while we were cycling with our friends, we decided to introduce them to IBIZA. We had a great lunch and good times chatting at the long table. Thanks IBIZA!

The man behind the counter was very rude. I waited 15 minutes for a coffee, and when I saw him making a different drink than the one I ordered, he frustratedly said “Well what am I supposed to do with this?!” And quickly became standoffish before encouraging me to go somewhere else, so I left without trying anything.

Edit: I see that the owner responded below, but I never asked for drip coffee. I was treated very poorly, and I feel like the owner continuing the argument here is not helpful for either of us.

Second edit: I see years later the owner again edited the response to seem like they were being totally reasonable. They were not. I know what pour over coffee is.

The full story is: I asked for a pour over coffee and a side of steamed milk. I went to sit outside and waited 15 minutes, before returning inside to ask where my drink was. I asked, and they started making espresso, so I pointed out that I didn’t order espresso, and the owner (I assume they are since they responded), slammed down the espresso and said angrily “Well, what am I supposed to do with this?!” Then I said “maybe I should just go somewhere else,” and they said “yeah, I think you should!” It was just rudeness for no reason. There were no other customers when I went to ask about my drink. He just forgot to make it and forgot what I ordered. I get that people get frustrated but why take it out on me? Instead of owning up to it they keep editing their response to make it seem like I’m one of those unreasonable...

This was my son and my first time here. We asked the middle-aged man about the parking in the back after we walked inside and we thought his attitude and comments were kind of rude. We didn't know it was private property. My son went immediately and moved my car to the street parking instead.

It's my son's birthday today so he picked this place. He drove up from Germantown to come here. He had the Cold Banana Rum drink. It was good and strong which we both liked ! I had the Hot Pumpkin Latte and it was pretty with the design on top, but was VERY weak and NOT flavorful at all. It wasn't worth the money ! Our food, the Oink Sandwich and the Quiche Lorraine, was good. I had also ordered an Almond Croissant but it wasn't delivered to our table with everything else. When we were leaving we stopped at the counter area to get it, and the middle-aged man and the younger man didn't immediately believe me when I said that I had already paid for it. I WASN'T HAPPY about that at all. They don't give paper receipts so I had the bill texted to me. The lady that took our order wasn't at the counter then. They did finally give me the Croissant.

My son and I weren't really pleased with our experience to...
