Olde Towne Tavern — Restaurant in Frederick

I am kinda new to Frederick . I love this town so many cool little spots to eat. I came here with 5 friends about 2 months ago for my birthday! I've been coming here for about the past 7 months but today I came in to have a beer and order the chicken Alfredo that I lof and I was Carted like I have been many times I am 40 years old but my I do/lights is expired probably a year ago and because I take public transportation and ubers I do b** I haven't really worried about spending the money or the time to get up there and have this fixed I was super surprised today to be turned down by the bartender or tenderous LOL it was really upsetting I don't understand this. I know I must have been Mistaken and the staff must be mistaken for the past 8 months because I Thought that they were checked to make sure you are 21 which on board I didn't realize they were checking to see if you're a credentials were expired or not because expired or not I am still 40LOLI called the 4 people I had coming with me and we went to a different place it was super disappointing this was a really cool spot for me and my friends to go doesn't seem like it's gonna be that any longer because I feel that they are not checking your age but instead Wanting to be the MVALOL oh yeah though there's not a shortage of good places in this...

So the beer app untapped classifies this place as a dive bar 😂.... Seems to be pretty accurate I'd say 😂... So look if you want to stop in grab a quick beer and a bite to eat it ain't too bad and served its purpose. Can't say it had a wide selection of beer it seemed like most of the patrons were requesting mixed drinks. This place had what I would say the good and the bad side.... The good side was an almost Cheers-like atmosphere we're about half the patrons seem to be acquainted with each other or knew each other and called them by name.... On the bad side I'd have to say for 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon there are several people who were obviously drunk on their feet slurring their words.. And speaking of words two people in particular could not help but dropping the f-bomb every third word out of their mouth for 20 minutes straight 😂😂😂 Amusing for a while but annoying after 20 minutes.... We each got the special for lunch and I had a draft Blue Moon with tip just a little over 30 bucks so as far as the pricing...

The best thing I can say about Olde Towne Tavern is that it's open late. We were trying to grab a bite to eat around 9pm, and many of the restaurants in Frederick have new Covid hours, meaning they close earlier than usual. A quick Google search showed Olde Towne Tavern was open till 1am. The bar wasn't very crowded, as it was a Tuesday night, but it still took a while to get the attention of the bartender. We ordered a beer and a cocktail, and asked for a menu, before getting a table outside. It was all a little confusing as to whether we needed to order at the bar, or if a server would help us. Finally a server did come to take our order. We got a small cheese pizza, crab dip, and curly fries. The food was not good. The pizza was soggy and greasy, and the crab dip didn't seem to have any discernable crab in it, plus it smelled very fishy. Bottom line, if you're looking for a late night place to grab a drink, Olde Towne Tavern definitely works, but if you're looking for food, I would not...
