L.L.Bean — Local services in Freeport

I work there. But more importantly, I’ve been riding for 38 years and have been fortunate to have had super bike shops in the places we’ve lived or traveled. I am also a customer at Bean Bike Boat and Ski and have had my bike worked on there and have purchased cycling stuff, including most recently an entire Restrap bikepacking set up. It is an Incredible shop with friendly staff and a national caliber shop. I have had the pleasure of meeting some tremendous bike mechanics. But 7 days a week, 11 hours per day, you get access to trained mechanics with years of experience who are also passionate Gravel, Road and Mountain Bike riders. I went in hoping to buy my first gravel bike knowing nothing about what to look for. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helped me get the best bang for my buck and a bike that was perfect for my needs. Whitney, an enthusiastic staff member, helped me immensely. I know that when I go in the store I will get excellent service at a good cost. I went into the store today to look for my first pair of biking shorts . I was clueless and a bit intimidated. I asked Maya for help and he immediately put me at ease and helped me find the perfect pair for my situation. He was friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable about what I needed .
