My family and I went into Toyota Blackstone to purchase a 2025 Toyota Rav4, however they did not have any in the lot. So, we were told that we can put a deposit down to reserve the car. Later on, if we decide that we no longer want to continue with purchasing the car, we would be able to get the deposit back. So that's what I did. About a couple weeks later, I was actually able to get the same car else where, so I called into the store on June 6, 2025 to cancel my reservation and request my deposit back. One of the managers shared that they will get that started and it will be sent via mail back to me. HOWEVER, two weeks go by and I have yet to receive the check. I called again on a weekend, and the sales manager shared that I would need to call on a weekday since that's why finance is working. I call the next day and was rudely greeted by a male in finance. He shared that he would be able to initiate the refund (because it wasn't initiated) and would call me back in about 30 minutes or so. I decline the phone call and asked if he can send an email confirming that the refund has been started and he said sure. 24 hours later, still no email, so I called again and was able to talk to a sales manager who shared that the refund was initiated, but he's unsure why they didn't send an email confirmation. He shared that he will talked to the finance director and will get back to me. Three days later, no call for TOYOTA. I call back to speak to the same sales manager, who shared with me that the finance department has been very backed up. He will put my documents at the very top to initiated the refund. This was a Friday (6/27/2025) when I called so I understand that it may take a few days, so I waited a week. Today is July 7th, 2025 and I have still yet to receive a check or a refund of the deposit that I made on the car. I am very upset that for a big corporation, that they lack effective communication and responsibility. AND more upset that I have to keep playing phone tag with the company and STILL one month later I STILL don't have my refund that I initiated. This is ridiculous. Read moreAt the end of December I was looking to purchase a Toyota Highlander Limited Hybrid at Blackstone Toyota. In the process, I met Raul Hernandez—one of the sales professionals at the dealership. Everything seemed to be progressing in the right direction—I communicated to Raul what I was looking for in terms of the model and color of vehicle and he began the search since they did not have any hybrids in stock. He called me back after a couple of days and he said he had found exactly what I was looking for. He asked me to come in to negotiate the deal and put a deposit down so they could go pick up the vehicle from the dealer where it was located. Well, this is when things took a different turn. He came up with different excuses as to why they couldn’t get the vehicle. He tried other sources to find the vehicle I was looking and the color of preference. After an hour and a half of waiting around, I told him I didn’t appreciate the delays and the waste of time. Well, he had a talk with his manager and they decided it was best for me to go. He told me he would call me back after his manager secured the vehicle. No one called me back. I then started calling and/or texting him a couple of days later to see what the outcome was from their attempt to secure the vehicle. He didn’t get back to me until 4 days later. The first thing out of his mouth was that the car had been sold. Well, yeah!! It was very apparent that they were not interested in selling me that particular vehicle since they could get more money for it selling it to someone else. And so, they did. I have never been so humiliated in my life especially when trying to make a purchase of this size. They seemed so intent on making the most profit that they did not care about anything else. Read moreFirst off 5 stars all around. I can be long winded so just to preface this is a 5 star review and stay if you’d like the reassurance why. I have been searching since June for a rav4 xle, initially I wanted a hybrid but by August I had reassessed my needs and decided that having the xle trim outweighed my want for the hybrid. It now became a matter of finding it, I had been communicating with Blackstone and a number of dealerships and TK reached out to me directly and genuinely seemed dedicated to getting me into my dream car. I felt heard, he even pointed out unethical practices from other dealerships, not to earn my business, just looking out for a stranger from someone on the inside of the business of matching person to vehicle. I left a conversation with TK where I felt confident another dealership had what I wanted and was giving me the best deal. Still TK kept me in mind and determined to make sure I got what I wanted at a deal that was beneficial to both parties. I was contacted by Ernie at Blackstone to follow up on a visit that my fiancé had, he listened to my feedback and actually did something about it. TK reached out again to make sure I felt confident that I had all the information I needed. In the end I went with Blackstone, another dealership had an extra incentive but ultimately I trusted TK and the team at Blackstone so much I only wanted to give my business to them. Mano and Antonio on the finance team were a dream to work with as well. No pressure and that is not an exaggeration, they educated me and answered all my questions, no push if and when I said I did not want to add something or another. I stressed how much I wanted the xle trim on the rav4 and all the safety reasons I wanted and TK listened. I’ve been driving my new car for less than a week and I cannot put into words how happy I am with what I bought, where I bought it and who was with me for the whole ride.
