3/5 as this is going to be your typical, average or slightly-below average hotel. First time reviewing hotels, but I just recently started traveling for work and what else is there to do than kill time by doing reviews. Starting off the cons as they stood out more than the pros
The cons (bare in mind, these are more about particulars and quality rather than actual problems): toilet seat was removed because the room was an "accessible" (aka handicap friendly) and a portable "granny's seat" was placed shower head was leaky. Showerhead hose was so stiff that the hose naturally pointed to the side. You have to unhook the shower head and hold it to rinse yourself off. fridge had been unplugged for some time and had a musty, mold smell coming from it. When plugged, even after a few days it barely kept any drinks cool. didn't care much for the TV but checked to see if it worked. It turned on but no cable, direct TV, etc. It was a dated, small flat screen TV so it's unlikely to have any HDMI port lighting is very poor throughout the room and bathroom...if that matters to you continental breakfast was: coffee, 2 choices of cereal, one type of bread, small packs of yogurt, and a waffle press with no waffle batter
The pros: I will say that their office seat was by far, the best part of the room. Why? I'm a video gamer so when I was done with work, online gaming is where I was at. The wifi was decent at best, with some disconnections here and there but overall, it allowed me to game. Their wifi was 75mbps bed was very, very comfy. Their pillows, all 4 of them, kind of small, but did it's job. A/C and heater worked Location was actually really good. The hotel rooms/doors on the outside right in front of the parking lot so you can get in and out fast. Plenty of food, gas, and freeway nearby. There was a liquor store literally 2 minute walking distance. Place is 15 minute from FAT. despite worrisome reviews on Yelp, my few interactions with their staff were all but friendly.
Will I go here again or any other Quality Inn brands? No. This being my first time traveling for work, I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for a quality place, especially if I'm going to be there at least a few days. This place would be OK for a one nighter, but definitely recommend somewhere else.
Funny thing is, I booked this place because the price was cheaper and visually, this place has 4.5 stars here on google, but Yelp reviews are worrisome. In the end, I didn't have any problems with the place, just some personal irks. It did the job of serving a place to rest, shower, poop, and...
Read moreAll other Quality Inns I've stayed in looked well decorated, fresh and inviting, and made me happy upon walking in the door. However, this one had tacky looking decor: nothing went together, and it looked like a low budget hotel. The carpet appeared not to have been vacuumed, there was stuff all over the floor, the hair dryer was so dirty I didn't want to touch it - looked like it had been there for yrs and never cleaned. The switch plate over the sink was so dirty I had to clean it before I could use it. The pillows in all other Q Inns have been fluffy and fabulous, these were not fluffy - seemed to be very old and almost flat. The refrigerator hummed so loud I could hardly go to sleep and it froze all of my vegetables and fruit that I put in it. I only eat special organic food and was very unhappy to discover my expensive food ruined. The front desk girl was very pleasant so I have no complaints there, but upper management needs to make a visit to this hotel to see what the client sees. Sorry to make this report because we have been staying at Quality Inns through Choice Hotels for over 5 yrs and have always been pretty happy, but this one was was a BIG...
Read moreThis is an older hotel that has seen better days. The first issue is just finding the hotel. It is on a side road away from Bullard. I do not believe that there are signs from the main road leading to this place so know before you go.
My second issue came when I checked in. A homeless person was in the lobby being loud and obscene to no one in particular. The lady at the front desk tried her best to handle the situation but it was obvious that the experience had her rattled. I believe the cops were called but the person left before they arrived. As you circle the building you will notice others just standing around in the parking lot. It seems to be a convenient place for people to hangout that don't want to be seen.
The room itself is small and lacks any thrills. The bed was not the most comfortable and it comes with the standards small pillows that Quality Inn likes to use. The room did have a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was small with barely enough room for the toilet and tub.
The building has two levels with all rooms entered from the exterior. There are only stairs, no elevator, to get to the...
