When we checked in, the manager went over the rules. One of them was no pets. We had our dog so I found someone to dog sit to respect the policies. Another rule was no smoking. We are smokers so we asked for a smoking room which they didn’t have, which was fine. So during our stay, we smoked ONE cigar OUTSIDE, then put it out OUTSIDE. When we came back inside, we set the cigar on top of the base of the lamp. A little bit of the ashes fell off the tip of the cigar and remained at the base of the lamp. We didn’t think anything of it and checked out the following day. When we tried to collect our $100 deposit, the manager was EXTREMELY rude! She stated that “there is evidence of smoking in the room” due to the ashes that fell off of the cigar, onto the metal base of the lamp, took pictures of it and REFUSED to pay us our deposit back. The room did NOT smell like smoke and we even asked the maids if it smelled like smoke and we were yelled at and threatened for doing that. I even told the lady that we did NOT smoke outside and I told her we were doing everything we possibly could to follow the rules and that I even took my dog somewhere else to stay so we could get our deposit back. Her response was “well what do you want? A pat on the back?” No lady, I want my $100 back! So she stated that it has to be cleared with corporate and there’s nothing she can do to give us our deposit back because she thought we were smoking in the room when we did not smoke in there at all. She told us that she couldn’t understand why we brought an unlit cigar inside the room if we weren’t smoking it, and they are the most highly rated 5 star motel in Fresno for a reason and was just an overall rude and unprofessional person. After we tried everything we could to get our money rightfully returned to us, she refused to hear anything else and she gave us a number to call corporate and brushed us off. After calling corporate and making our complaint, corporate stated that they have nothing to do with returning the deposit back and the manager had given us false information. The woman I spoke with over the phone was incredibly helpful, apologized sincerely for how we were treated and gave us enough reward points for a 4 night stay at any location. Even though this location was an absolute and complete nightmare, hopefully our other stays somewhere else will be better but I’m never returning to this location again. At least corporate treated me with respect. If I could give the corporate office a separate rating, I would give them 5 stars. I could not believe how this lady came at me so rude and spoke to me so foul! I did not approach her with an attitude at all, not once throughout the entire conversation. It’s a shame someone like that is put in a position of power like that. I don’t know how they continue to do business when she treats her guests like we...
Read moreThis is a follow up to a previously poor review that I wrote earlier this week. I earlier wrote about my negative experience e with two of the "managers" at the location on North Blackstone. I dint know if it is proper to mention them by name so I will refer to them as them V and N. A little recap: They placed a hold of 158.00 on my account and took a week to finally reverse most of it back. I was initially assured by V that it she would personally be taking care of by the end of the day, which turned out not to be the case. She went home without resolving the issue and her boss, N. said he did not have the access that his subordinate has to resolve the issue and that I would have to wait till the morning. He assured me that it would be a priority as soon as V arrived. I waited till noon and finally called back. V answered the phone and said that she had sent in her info and was waiting for the bank to verify that the got it. Again V likes to be a little lose with the truth because what she sent, I found out the next day was a notice saying that were refusing to comply with there request for written verification of release of funds. By this point I had already wrote a few really bad reviews. I called that location again and a desk clerk by the name of Brianna. I hope that was her name because she was the only person that handled the issue like a professional. She immediately recognized me as being the one that given poor review and even quoted some of the complaints I listed, She empathized with the burden that 158.00 could cause a person and appeared sincere of her understanding of the situation. Then she did what V and N, N being he most useless "boss" I've ever have seen, N, could not do, she took ownership of the problem. She said she would contact the bank to get the info. Then she said she would fill lout the correct paperwork and follow up with the bank to ensure that it was received by them. She did all of that and went even further. She made sure the bank sent her confirmation that the charges had been reversed and finally she called me back to let me know that it was all taken care of and again the following day to make sure it showed up in my account. . Wow, finally someone who knew how to effectively deal with a customer. I have an idea, since N has already established that a "boss" need not know how to do anything around that place, why not give Brianna a crack at running the establishment. She clearly understands satisfy the customer at a much higher level than N and V. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if V steals, given her honesty issues. On a whole, the experience was still negative, but I was pleased that you at leas have on 5 star employee at your 2 star...
Read moreBEWARE!!! Horrible staff with no accountability who will defraud you in multiple ways in one stay? Thats Days INN fresno YOSEMITE. They over charged me $157 when I checked in, said they would refund m e the 50 dollar over charge, and instead charged me ANOTHER $107 for another night. After adding in the $50 deposit they never returned to me, the defrauded me a total of $207 for a room that should have cost $99. ANd when I spoke to the supervisor Elizabeth, she was very rude and then hung up on me. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK
I stayed at this location for one night, for approx. 6 hours or less as somewhere to crash while working nearby. I departed for work at about 5:00AM and was called by the front desk and told th at I had been overcharged by 50 dollars and that they would refund me the extra money they charged me.
After looking at my statement the next day I found they HADNT refunded me the 50 dollars i was overcharged. Instead, they charged me for ANOTHER night, for $107, despite having left at 5:00AM and not returning.
When I called the front desk I spoke to a supervisor named Elizabeth who was very rude. She informed me that she was aware of my being over charged (and didnt explain why I wasnt).
She stated that I must have stayed another night because someone either called or came to the desk would have needed to know my full name to extend the stay. I went into the office to speask to the manager and while I was there 2 people came in to extend there stay. All the information that the staff asked was for their room number and if they wanted to charge the card on file.
When I asked her if it was possible that someone got into the room after I left, called from the room and extended the reservation that way she said that I left at 5am and her staff cleaned the room at 10AM. If that is the case, would I not HAVE BEEN CHECKOUT OUT AT THAT TIME?
This plaace does whatever they want because the supervisors have no accountability. Beware, they will likely defraud you in some way, either taking you deposit, overcharging you, or extedning your stay without your knowledge. And there is nothing you can do about it as the supervisor staff refusing to provide contact info for managment other than an email that never replys.
