I felt like I almost got scammed by the guy named Bryan, who lied straight to my face and told me he had already applied the two $20 coupons to my $125 bill.
It started when Bryan greeted me, checked my account, and explained a bunch of promotions. He told me I could use my two digital coupons (each $20 off) that were showing in their system. Even though I had brought my two physical coupons, he said I didnât need to show them. I specifically asked if the $125 total already included the coupons, and without hesitation he told me âyes.â
When I checked my receipt later, I saw that no coupons had been applied. I had my husband ask about the coupons. Bryan then said, âOh, you need the physical coupons to get the promotion.â At that point I was fed up and told him, âYou were the one who checked my account from the beginning and told me I didnât need the physical couponsâwhy are you saying now that I do?â I took out my physical coupons to prove it and stop what felt like a scam.
Bryan then asked Maya to help process a $40 refund. However, Maya took away the new coupons that were attached to my receipt and said it was store policy not to issue future coupons when one is used on a purchase. I honestly donât care about the damn couponsâI care about the service. First, Bryan tried to make me spend over $80 to use my coupons but didnât apply them at checkout, and then Maya insisted I wasnât entitled to the new coupons after they had already made a mistake. On top of that, I donât recall either of them apologizing for the inconvenience. Instead, Maya kept talking back when I suggested the employees needed better training. She only stopped when I said, âThis is the last time Iâll shop here and I wonât be back.â
Shopping at BoxLunch is supposed to be enjoyable, but my experience here was the opposite. I was made to feel like I had to beg for a discount I was already entitled to, while dealing with misleading information and unprofessional behavior. Why would I want to come...
Read moreToday my family and I were doing your average chores around the house when we remembered the Pepita and Zuko BoxLunch Exclusive Funko's were being released so, we decided to head over. We did not want to miss these items and have them sell out so we did not change the clothes we had on to save time. We weren't dirty or or messy looking so we thought it would be fine. We arrived waited in line because of Covid. (Limit access). We browse around and we hear associates talking about the group of five we were the only group of five in the store. (Didn't think much of it). We picked up the Pepita and a couple of other items when 2min later an associate approached us and asked to take the Pepita from us. She explained that because its a new item they need to be kept up front. This never happenedto me before, EVER! I have been shopping at BoxLunch for about 7 years.(but Again, Didn't think much of it). Then after there was an associate looking and following us from a distance. (I thought this was weird but maybe because of COVID). At check out we were separated. They explained it was to expedite the check out experience. (Again, I didn't think too much of it) but right before I was about to pay I asked about a figure of The Child from The Mandalorian that was is a box. I asked what it was? The associate explained that it was this was a statue (with a weird tone of voice) and as he finished he said but its $140 sorry. We did not have a pleasant experience. We don't think someone should be treated differently by the way we look. A person should be treated by THEIR ACTIONS! WE WEREN'T LOOKING TO SHOP LIFT. WE WERE LOOKING TO SPEND MONEY ON SOMETHING WE ENJOY. I don't care if they give a free meal for each $10 I spend. I help more people on a daily basis than that. The $100 I spent today will be the last I every spend at a HotTopic or BoxLunch EVER! To the associates who read this- what you guys get paid here a year I probably make in a month or two. Don't shop here! I know I...
Read moreI wasnât going to write a review but seeing anotherâs customer review and also having a bad experience on the same male manager led me to. I went for a pickup order mind you it took 30 whole minutes for me to get my order. Manager asked for the email receipt, I go to the counter donât get acknowledged mind you right in front of his face. He continues clicking and clicking on the computer then talks about music to other employee asking if they have heard the music, the employee then plays music on his phone and they both start bobbing their heads to the music lol. He then asks me for the name of the order and then continues doing him on the computer which eventually just walks away and disappears đ. A nice employee asked if i was helped to which i said no. She goes and gets this manager, he asks for the emails. He then proceeds to go to the back to do absolutely nothing comes back to the computer clicking and clicking. He then sends another employee to go get my order because clearly he didnât. by this time itâs been 20 minutes and then says here you go. with this being said i was literally the only pickup order in line but clearly he was so busy. Didnât know it took that long to get a...
