Oh, where do I even begin? It's almost laughable, my dear experiences with this establishment, a place I've graced with my presence more times than I care to count. On one memorable occasion, I rather generously parted with over $10,000—yes, you heard that right—and even went so far as to get their credit card, all in a single visit. But let's not dwell on my philanthropy.
However, my last visit was quite the eye-opener, a stark reminder of the caliber of individuals employed there. You see, the staff, if you can even call them that, are primarily composed of upper-middle-class women, armed to the teeth with their MRS degrees, exuding an air of judgment so thick you could cut it with a knife. These ladies, bless their hearts, possess an astounding lack of interest in assisting the likes of common folk who dare to venture into their domain with the intention of making a purchase.
On this particular occasion, my wife and I had the audacity to step into their hallowed grounds in search of kitchen table chairs. We needed five, to be exact. While I, ever the dutiful husband, took it upon myself to entertain our son, my wife remained behind, subjecting herself to the torturous ordeal of trying out chairs. And let's be perfectly clear, a simple folding chair would suffice for me, but no, we had to indulge in this charade.
Would you believe, during the entire twenty minutes of my wife's solitary chair audition, not a single so-called associate deigned to approach her? Not one! She was rendered invisible, forced to resort to checking colors on her phone, of all things. It's as if the concept of customer service is an alien one to them, a distant notion far removed from their lofty ideals. Truly, a masterclass in how to not run a...
Read moreDrove from Springfield, MO to this store in STL (7.5 hours round trip) to purchase new sheets. We chose the tencel sheets and an extra set of pillowcases (after working with two sales people) and ended up opening a duvet cover and pillow shams when we got home and were ready to wash everything for use. When I called the store to explain what happened I spoke with a manager, at least is what she said she was. I asked if they could send me a return tag and send me the correct products and she told me that told me that I could send them back at my expense and order the correct product online at my expense. She did not apologize and stated that if I would have looked at my receipt, I would have noticed the mistake (the sales associates mistake). I was explicit in my wish for king-size sheets and standard size pillowcases and she dug through the inventory to find them. Unfortunately, I guess she can’t read either. And as reference, the receipt uses rather difficult to interpret abbreviations so I am not sure that I would have figured out the mistake off of the receipt in the first place. Overall, the manager was not willing to be accommodating in any way and was definitely not appreciative of our wish to do business with them. I will be finding my tencel sheets somewhere else. My husband and I were so disappointed in our experience with this store, will not be shopping...
Read moreAtrocious place to order something from. Ordered a dining table 7 months ago. At the time it was "4-6 weeks out to ship". After 8 weeks we started calling for an update. Got no real answer on when it would come cause it was on backorder now. 7 months later we finally receive the table. THEY FORGOT THE HARDWARE. They could not put the table together. The people delivering the table said someone will reach out in "1-2 days" to set up getting the hardware delivered. Of course no one calls. Then we call pottery barn. They put in a "request" to have hardware shipped and say it'll take "7-10 days to ship". After 10 days, no update. Call every day after that 10th day trying to get update and literally no one on customer service can figure out where hardware is or when it will come. All they say is "they put a ticket in" to request hardware and will take 7-10 more days to get response. It's now going on 4 weeks with no response or call from anyone regarding this issue. Went to store, absolutely no help in store as well. Finally ended up telling them to just come get the pieces of the table on our living room floor and take it out of our house and refund us. They said they will refund us. But of course need to wait “2-3 more business days for the delivery service to reach out to set up a time to get before they will refund us. 5,000 for a table...
