Earth's Treasures — Local services in Galena

This was my husband and I's first time in Galena. The experience has been NOTHING but great this whole time. UNTIL we walked out of this store. I had been looking for crystal balls and found a beautiful one I really liked. So, I went up to the lady at the counter and told her I was interested in purchasing one of them in the display cases. Which at least where I'm from they usually keep them locked. She pauses...looks as me as if I am the dumbest person she has ever met and says "it unlocked" as she gives me as very rude and mean look. Now im not sure if she was just having a bad day, or if she just didnt like me. But, I can say that she was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I say "okay" and turn around to face my husband, who also heard the whole interaction. We just looked at each other and I told him quietly we are leaving I'm uncomfortable and I don't want to give them our $. So, he agrees and we leave immediately. We were both very disappointed in not only the service we reserved but, that I felt like I could no longer proceed with my purchase. Galena has been amazing other wise. My husband and I will most definitely be coming back to Galena. But safe to say we won't be stepping foot back in this...

This was my fiance's first time in Galena and Earth's Treasures was the first place we stopped into. We were greeted before both feet were inside the door and the person at the cash register, who I'm assuming might be the owner, was very polite and personable. My mother in law loves gems and stones so we got her a couple of small things for a present.

Everything was marked with a price and everything was incredibly reasonable. Even the largest pieces that you would assume would be thousands of dollars were a very low price. Tons of great little finds with signs throughout explaining different types of stones with their meanings and uses.

This place is awesome! The manager is super warm and helpful. I had a million questions about gem stones and she answered them all. She genuinely cares and is passionate about the contents in her shop. The shop felt so welcoming and I wasn't made to feel like I was an outsider (even though I am not from Galena).

I was able to find some beautiful pieces that I've quickly fallen in love with and my husband went back and grabbed me a couple of gemstone pendants as Christmas presents. They are beautiful and perfect! I feel the quality is excellent! And the gemstones appear to be authentic, which is not that easy to find!
