Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Galveston

I ordered a 8-piece family meal that came with a large side(I picked fries)and four biscuits and I also got a side of small red beans and rice. When I got to the beach instead of having a large fry I got a large red beans and rice and no fries at all. I called the store manager and he told me to come up there to pick up the fries and I told him I had just got to the beach and I won't be able to come back and I asked him can I just get my money back for the fries he said no and that I got a large red beans and rice so he felt like I should be happy with that but the reason I ordered fries and a small red beans and rice is because my children does not like red beans and rice and the small red beans and rice was for me. He told me that if I bring back the red beans and ricehe will give me my money back for the red beans and rice and for the fries so a couple hours later I went back waited in a line that took 15 minutes for me to be seen. And he refused to give me the my money back for the large fries and only gave me $2 back for the red beans and rice that I gave him back and did not give me my money back for the fries. The whole time he had a attitude with me I work in customer service and for him to be a manager and treat me the way he did was completely frustrating. So if y'all decide to come back to this location just know if they get your order wrong they will not refund you your money because it's a meal and I didn't want the money back for my chicken because I ate my chicken I just wanted my money back for the fries. I will never return to this...

Ick. I'll start out by saying I LOVE POPEYES and til this visit never had a bad meal at one all over the US. This one is the exception I found. The food came out cold and tough. The coating on the chicken was soft and soggy like it had been soaking in water after they fried it or something. I hate to even wonder what they are doing to the food inside, and the service was SLOW, I was the only person in line, the people inside when I pulled up were in some kind of heated conversation with each other and didn't seem to care that I was at the window listening. After I got down the road and found out how odd the chicken was I threw the Cole Slaw away because I'm afraid of how they take care of their food and didn't want to get food poisoning. The biscuit was hot and fresh and good though. It's next to a McDs which i visit often to get my dogs treats at various times, and I notice when I go to McD that this Popeye's gets almost no business, I don't think I ever saw a line in the drive through or cars in the lot, which explains why their fried food is soggy, it's probably sitting hours after its cooked because they don't get customers. This place needs a change because it's a disgrace to the Popeeye's name and I think the locals avoid it probably having had bad experiences like I did, I know I never went back after that visit. The food was great, when we actually got it. The manager is something else! I don't know how she became the manager at all. She held up both the drive thru as well as front counter. She waited until the employees asked for food to start making the food. She gave my food to someone else and then tried to talk in Spanish thinking I wouldn't understand her! Hahaha she got a crazy look on her face when I announced in Spanish that I spoke Spanish as well! The other employees are so friendly and VERY helpful! They tried to help me several times when the manager messed up my order. I still ended up with pieces I didnt want but that was all she had made so, I had to just deal with what I could get. The 5 of us was just happy to get SOMETHING! The coleslaw was nasty but everything else was awesome!

POPEYES..... Get rid of the manager there! She held up everyone and made my visit unpleasant. Your other employees deserve a bonus for having to deal with them! I could see it all over their faces when they try to make the order for the customers and there was no food and she would just start to make it!
