We've stayed at this Property before big,big,big, disappointment....and the unit Were in this Weekend is not the Unit that was offered online nor the unit booked !!! My Children as a Surprise for My 50th Birthday got us a Family getaway and the fact that My Children's hard earned money went to pay for this makes me very upset. Only thing going for Unit 7209 is the A/C!!! It's out of date,about 30 plus year's, dirty unit ac vents,bathroom has mold,towels dirty 1 in bathroom and 1 in kitchen, no washrags were provided where's all the missing features promised in your photo's online ????? . And the fact that We called the Property from 3 Hour's drive away (8pm) informed them that We might arrive after 11 were told no problem night security would let us in (Reservations were cancelled enroute to Galveston)!!!! Arrived at the Property at 10:40 clerk inside saw us standing in the Driveway and at 5minutes til 11pm proceeded to Lock the Door and mouths to us were closed!!!!! Really who treats people like that???? I couldn't be prouder of the fact that My Children wanted to do something special for me but this is a Big Injustice they work for everything they have and to be ripped off and scammed like this shame on all Involved for taking advantage of them and Lord knows who else!!!! This is the 1st time that I've come back to the Island since My Father's Death and I am majorly disappointed with the Property!!! Do have to say That the Security work's the Property around the Clock and all the Area's parking lot's, pools,etc. Someone Owes My Children an apology and some of Her hard earned money back, Or a Weekend in the Real Unit she Booked being that this isn't the Unit she Booked online!!! This Mama didn't raise No Fool !!!! Unit #7209 was Our Unit . Btw get some 99 cent bleach at Wal-Mart ( next door to property closes at midnight on the Household cleaning aisle ) it work's wonders on this mold all you gotta do is buy it, and apply it it does the rest !!!!! And 1 more thing the sham with the Parking that money best be refunded ( parking is provided at all properties even Casa Del Mar yes I went there ) btw this isn't my only review I'm doing . Read moreWe rented this through my Vacation Quest member ownership. We've used them to take many a wonderful vacation in the past; so why would this one be any different, right? WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! First of all, some apartments have full-time, permanent residence occupants. They give you the stink eye whenever possible. Then, there is carpet in our room. WHO PUTS CARPET IN A VACATION RENTAL? Why is this a big deal to me? The bottom of my feet turn black from the carpet. How do I know it's not from the floors?? Because once I walked on the floors for 12 hours (the first full day we were there) I asked for a mop, bucket, and floor cleaning solution. I swept and mopped those floors! So I know it's the carpets! Gross. Then, they only give you 1 (ONE) roll of toilet paper. You have to call and ask for more! Ok, that's not the worst part of it! Ready for this? 4 DAYS OUT OF THE 6 WE WERE THERE WE EITHER HAD NO WATER OR NO HOT WATER! I would call the front desk (don't even get me started on that mess and the rude woman working there) and they'd tell me, "It should be on in 1 to 2 hours." Ok, I can handle that...but it would turn into an all day ordeal. I've never complained about a vacation rental like this. What else? The towels. Not enough. Toilet paper? We ended up buying our own.The mid-week "cleaning service" (which they let you know isn't in their contract, they just do it out of hospitality). That's a joke! My 9 y/o lost her earrings. After they came and cleaned we thought they were gone for good. Not so! We found them on the floor - where you think they'd have vacuumed! The dishes we had left in the sink weren't done, the beds and linens weren't changed...what did they clean??...I could go on and on. I've already called Vacation Quest and made my complaints known. Read moreDon't beleive the wonderful pictures you see on their website. This place is a dump. Upon check-in we learned the room we were told would be up front and facing the gulf was actually much further back. There was a semi obstructed view of the water but not what you see on the web. We went to the room to find there was a steel bar door like a cell door in front of the unit's entry door. We entered the room and it was horrible. It was much smaller than the photos lead you to beleive and the countertops and furniture were damaged and filthy. The gabage shoot emits an odor that lingers all the way down the hall. The room itself smelled bad too. We went back to front desk and the rudeness that awaited us was infruiating. Diana Gonzales basically told us to take it or leave it. We asked to speak to the manager and was told he just left. I asked for his name and Diana gave it to me saying "good luck". I knew he was part of this culture and no good would come from trying to contact him so, we left. The rest of the staff at the front desk couldn't care less. It was as though they were used to it. While we were waiting for our refund a homeless guy entered the lobby with some single beers in a bag and the staff allowed him to sit in the lobby and drink! Don't even think about taking your family to this flea-bag. We wound up staying at a Candlewood Suites much further off the beach. The experience their was like night and day. The man who checked us in couldn't be more helpfull. We almost left the island to go home which would have been a major dissapointment to our kids.
