I went to See's Candies 🍫🫕 for a Free Chocolate sample yesterday. I often do this when I walk at the mall, and make small purchases. It's my snack. Yesterday, I bought a Pumpkin Spice Lollipop 🍭. I stopped drinking coffee ☕ since I'm a Mormon, so I haven't been able to get my favorite Starbucks Drink, a Pumpkin 🎃 Spice 🫚 Latte'. Yesterday, at The Boise Towne Square Indoor Shopping Mall, at See's Candies, I purchased a Pumpkin 🎃 Spice 🫚 Lollipop 🍭! It wasn't a Latte ☕, but it was excellent 👌! My Paternal Grandmother started a Holiday 🎄🎁 Gift Tradition in our family. My family had to go live in Boston. See's Candies Corporation doesn't have stores East of The Mighty Mississippi River . My Dad is from California. He worked for Digital Equipment Corporation ("DEC"). Dec transferred my father to Merrimack, New Hampshire USA. Before that, he worked at the Denver Technology Center. We lived near Colombine, Colorado! Our family left that wonderful place to go live in the Forest 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 45 miles north of Boston! I never really fit in, but playing in the forest fun! Anyway, our Grandmother out near Stockton, California, would mail 📬💌 my Older brother and I a 1 pound box of See's Candies 🍫🫕 Nuts and Chews Every December 🎄🎁! She would enclose a $20.00 check ✍️! I would put mine in a savings account! My brother and I were expected to write ✍️ my grandmother, "Nana" a thank you card telling us what we did with the money. The cards were always late, but Nana Loved them anyway! Nana was from Indiana, but her and my grandfather went to California because my Grandfather "Pop" was offered a job building the Interstate 5 Freeway near Sacramento and many other California Highways in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Pop died when I was a baby 🐥🍼 😭. I have no memories of him. But his loyal wife Nana always paid for my Older Brother and I to travel 🧳 to The San Joaquin Valley every summer! We got to ride horses, go to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Washington DC, and lots of other Wonderful places! We even got to go inside The White 🤍 House, The National Rifle Association,(NRA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) tours! Anyway, every time I go into See's Candies at Boise Town Square Mall 🏬🛍️💰, I think of Nana and all the other family memories involving See's Candies! And I'm sure that Nana and Pop are together Hereafter and Thereafter, wherever that is, smiling 😁, and remembering me! And I feel less lonely while walking at Boise Town Square Mall 🏬🛍️💰! Hopefully there's a See's Candies Location there too! ♥️ You lonely Google...
Read moreToday I went to a local shop to make a purchase. The customer service rep was the only one in the store. There was one other patron completing their purchase at the register.
She had the entrance blocked off so you were forced to “skinny on by” the area where you pay for purchases.
There has never been a law for wearing a mask.
There is no local mandate.
The CDC has dropped the mask request.
The numbers are dropping rapidly every day.
Well below any emergency status of concern.
This CSR went Hitler on myself and another patron who came in with no mask.
No where else in the entire town is this a request.
She insisted we put on a mask and demanded it cover the nose area.
She became argumentative with the other patron who attempted to politely explain she had been vaccinated and had a health issue preventing covering her nose.
Again…. There has NEVER BEEN A LAW giving any place of business the right to tell the general public what to wear or not wear. EVER.
Even in the worst months of Covid-19 no local establishment was successful in preventing patrons entering without a mask. In fact, across the country any law enforcement attempting to do so had it fly back on them in a very BAD way.
I watched 4 other potential customers view her behavior towards myself and the other patron and decided to go across the floor of the mall to their competition.
It will NEVER EVER be the responsibility of a CSR to police mask wearing. EVER.
I will NEVER be back. Places of business need a big reminder that the foot traffic virtually and in person are the only reason they exist in the first place.
Today your company successfully offended and lost six patrons.
All six patrons will, guaranteed, spread this experience with others.
Word of mouth will always be the first and most important way to advertise.
It’s...
Read moreI come to See's a couple times a year for my Mother's day goodies and of course their milk chocolate caramels. It's hard not to be at the mall and not grab a few of the milk chocolate caramels. They are so good!
I wanted to see what kind of packaging they had for mother's day this year. Their packaging for mother's day is always so pretty! I looked at all their goodies and decided to wait another week or two to get my treats. I did notice they had the cutest little reusable bags that had a beautiful floral print on them. They were only 1.50 so I grabbed a few of them knowing they will probably sell out. They well make perfect gift bags for mother's day!
I headed to the counter to purchase my bags. I wad given piece of chocolate but the sweetest sales associate while I was waiting in line to get checked out. Todd greeted me behind the counter. He also offered me a piece of chocolate. I told him that I was already given one but he insisted on giving me another piece. I didn't say no. Todd rang me up and got me all squared away. Of course my clumsy self grabbed my bags and dropped my chocolates. I picked them up and was ready to walk out the door but Todd stopped me. He gave me two fresh chocolates and had me throw the ones I dropped away. I felt so bad for dropping them but Todd reassured me that it was ok. He truly one of the nicest souls I have ever met.
I will never not shop at See's. They have some great goodies and their customer service is top notch. Todd really made my experience there awesome today. I hope everyone who shops there gets to experience what Iexperienced today....
