Service - My guest and I both ordered Flo's Filet with honey fried crisp brussel sprouts, two loaded baked potatoes and the spinach dip appetizer. I added a strawberry pecan salad as well. The service was spot on. Drinks came quick. For a Wednesday, it was PACKED but our server was busting his booty to attend everyone. He remembered our requests, he kept our drinks fulk and got us to-go drinks and plates for leftovers.
Food - our food was perfect. My guest wanted well done, I wanted medium. Both cooked exactly as we asked. They even butterfly flayed the well done steak to maintain its juicyness. They both had a hard crust seasoned sear done perfectly and disintegrated like cotton candy in the mouth, the meat was so tender.
Atmosphere - I tend to avoid packed places. Thats why i was surprised by this place overflowing with a line at 5pm on a Wednesday. Guess its a testament of the food. I felt it was way too dark in there. Windows and blinds closed. Dark walls and ugly carpeted floor thats absorbed years of dropped drinks and food. The dark tables and everything made light scant. Should have went hardwood floor, here. The carpets ugly.
Cleanliness - This is where things fell off for me. They were so close to a 5 star review, but when i sit at a table and theres left over wet soggy food particles, I'm grossed out. I dont know if they were from a dirty rag, or someones mouth and i shouldnt have to guess because the table should be CLEAN to begin with. The utensils and plates we got for the bread were dirty. When your dishwasher is cramming unrinsed plates into a dish washing machine, that machine is then throwing around leftover food from other peoples mouths that then get dried onto those plates and utensils. I had left over bits of dried food on my main course fork and knife so i used the salad fork and shared my wifes knife to eat my steak. Our table top had some sticky puddle of something (glob of dried syrup, honey or sauce?) that had been there so long it was accumulating peoples forearm hairs that accidentally rested their arms there like i had. Maybe because the lights are so low you cant tell if a tables been cleaned or not till you sit down.
Return or Never Again -I would definitely return. They were super slammed and ill give them the benefit of doubt that had they noticed that glob of syrup in the dark they would have cleaned it. Read moreHad the worst experience ever. Not to mention the order was for my kids. Waiting on district manager to contact me or I may have to call labor board. I spend a lot of money when paying for a family of four at this locations. Not to mention waiting over two hours for my meal to be prepared to go. I call to inform them of missing items to be repeated put on hold and told it’s nothing they can do. Never have I been told that before from an establishment. Then I repeatedly get hung up on to the point where I’m letting them know I’ll just return with items while I have kids that are hungry. I hate all the times a called logged so that I can show that I had attempted several times to receive items that I paid for. After getting told be manger Kenneth Burkhardt he was not going to do a thing to accommodate me due to me now getting rude back with his staff. He ensured that they were not rude. He was right there. Which makes me wonder then why take your time getting to the phone. Why not help resolve the issue for the family that has waited over two hours already get assistance with the missing sides after spending over $75 and tipping someone to bring food to me. Check your bags when you order carefully due not trust that management is going to assist you because I was told e was not because of my attitude. He definitely should not be in management because he does not handle situations appropriately or picks and choose off how he feels with your money spent. I will no long attend events at this location or recommend family and friend as I have before. They have lost a loyal customer due to lack of effort. You can’t hear the host if your not there and if you did you should have been resolved the issue 20 min prior. I have all the document and waiting on this call for further update. Read moreGod has truly blessed me today! My husband and I had gone to this Longhorn because on our last visit EVERYTHING was excellent, and we wanted something we knew wouldn't be disappointing. We were very hungry. During the time the waiter was taking our order, my ribeye was somehow missed. Neither the waiter nor I caught it until my husband's steak was delivered. (The food came out quickly.) The waiter, Joshua Hernandez (a pre-law college student at NC State), was so embarrassed and apologized numerous times for the error.. He immediately put the order in. He let his manager know what had happened, who said she was taking care of it. Joshua mentioned they had put a couple of extra ribeyes on and were already cooking, so it shouldn't take long.. The ribeye came out quickly and was delicious. When I got the bill, I discovered they hadn't charged me for my ribeye. I went to talk to the manager, Shay Moore, to correct it. (I explained to her that I had already planned to buy it anyway) and she would not do it. She apologized for the mix up again and said it was on them. I was absolutely stunned! Even in this economy, she (as the face of the Longhorn Steakhouse) still held strong on integrity! Wow!! I thanked her and let her know that what they had done carried more weight than what they realized; we were celebrating my birthday early. So this gift of generosity from Joshua Hernandez and Ms. Shay Moore was even more special than either of them could've known!! The food, the drinks, the customer service and everything down to the smallest detail was absolutely impeccable!!! How often is it that you visit an establishment on more than one occasxion, and each time was excellent?! We ordered the NY Strip and the Ribeye as our entree's and the Strawberry and pecan salad (for a small upcharge), and loaded baked potatoes for our sides.
