Sorry but this place is a joke. Management is lacking. Because of this, employees or even management don't even follow Home Depot's policies. I believe in management being responsible for other employees giving away products to customers that claim to be someone else, but they don't check ID's, so they they're part of the problem of why HD is losing so much money from blatant stealing. Then when you ask for your money back, they laugh in your face and claim that you had someone else pick your item up for you. As a side note: Home Depot's policy on picking up an item from the store: Prior to checking out online, you have to place a separate name other than yours in another box if you have someone else pick it up. Then when you go to the store to pick the item up, they're supposed to CHECK YOUR ID, or the person you designated to make sure they're releasing it to the right person. And you also sign for the item and who knows what they do with that paperwork. Sad thing is because of their audacity to steal my money, I will gladly not shop here anymore. Corporate should investigate this store for possible inside theft and start with a clean slate if they're wanting to keep customers. I've spent thousands of dollars with HD, and because of this one stores terrible customer service and ignorant management, I will be glad to go to the Big Blue store down the street that values their customers. They at least treat you like you're a human! As others here have stated, there is no customer service here, they could care less if you want help or want to buy something, let alone give you your money back for something you never received. If you do go here at night, just be careful because the parking lot is not well lit. This store has a very creepy vibe, and with the outright disgusting attitude of management, it makes it even worse to shop here. Again, you will get better treatment at the Lowe price place down the street, or wherever you live. I was treated so rudely, that I'm even going to sell off all the stocks I had in HD. The helpful hardware, North of tool, and the Lowe price stores will get my business for my Milwaukee tools and materials from now on! I will never step foot into this store again, I will gladly go to the Knightdale or Cary stores if I ever get an apology from this store, and if I ever need anything from HD, but again, very unlikely for the...
Read moreDelivery of my washer was botched, which can happen and can be understandable depending on the circumstances. However, the delivery person told a number of lies to me, and to the corporate reps who were trying to assist me. I took the day off work to be here for the 12-4 window. I missed a call at 11am from the delivery person, called him back at 11:08am, no answer. I listened to his voice mail, said he would be here with the washer in 30 minutes. After not showing, I called the number again at 1pm, he said he came to my house, no one was home and waited 20 minutes. He also said he called my phone a number of times, however, my phone log does not show any additional calls. We were home all day, front door was open, old washer sitting on the porch. After further conversation, he said it was corporate's fault as they gave him the wrong address, 208 instead of 108. I asked him to deliver the washer, or let me meet him somewhere in my truck. He said he was headed to the warehouse and would call me back and let me know if I could pick it up there. He never called. I called customer service, they were sympathetic, apologetic, and helpful. They said the address on the order was correct, 108 not 208. After holding for approximately 45 mins, the rep said they would be coming back out today. I asked when and she said they would call me. We cancelled our dinner plans and waited. No call, no show. I called the delivery number, but no one answered. I called this morning to be told that the delivery people came to my house a second time and no one was home, so they left, and next Wednesday would be the next possible delivery. Obviously, I'm not going to trust that this will happen so I cancelled the order and placed an order with Best Buy. I was also going to file a complaint with Home Depot, instead of posting a review. Once again, a long wait time and at the end, they said there is no one from the delivery department to complain to, and for me to call back this afternoon. This is the type of experience that causes a person NEVER to shop at a store again. I own a business and if I were Home Depot, I would be very interested in how much business this delivery crew/subcontractor might...
Read moreFor a friend in NC, her post. No relation.
You haven't checked your messages, so I'm hoping you will respond here. A month ago my significant other asked for a few days off to take me to surgery and get me stabilized at home as I am unable to walk.
This was approved. The night before I was scheduled, their manager called and said he was fired.
I have the next two months to get through and I'm unable to walk or be out around people because of concern of infection and prosthetic infection. Your managers knew this and knew I needed those few days to have him at least make sure I was set up to be able to function alone between his shifts. This includes being hooked up to machinery and after those few days, trying to get to a bathroom on my own, but we were content with the few days because we understood that's how retail is. It's cold, but we didn't think Home Depot would ever be this harsh.
They are now claiming it is because he was a temp employee and he can work at any other location. I want to make it clear. He was never a temp employee and this location is next to my home. Any other location would be impossible time and travel wise as he walks to work. He was so excited to get past the 120 days, or so he had thought he had. It was a few days away.
Being I've shopped at this location weekly for over 12 years, I have on several occasions heard multiple complaints about management not being very family oriented or able to schedule in a way that could allow for any normal routine to take place in an employees life.
I am stunned that your company would allow this to happen. I've been a loyal customer for decades. I recently put several thousand into gift cards to make my house ready for accessibility for my walker and now all I want to do is get whatever funds are left on them and send the workers to Lowes for the materials.
Please take some time to look into why there seems to be an issue with your Garner NC store before another family finds themselves in the same...
