I WILL NO LONGER BE SHOPPING AT LIDL. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ITEMS BEHIND. THIS OCCURED SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2025. (DATE ON THE RECIEPT IS AT THE VERY BOTTOM)
I have been a customer of Lidl for years. I recently moved to Raleigh and the Lidl at 2680 Timber Drive in Garner, NC 27529 is now the closest Lidl to me. I go to Lidl almost EVERY Saturday OR Sunday. I went this Sunday late due to having to work from home late. I rushed to make sure I got there on time. I am usually in and out however once I had all of my items on the belt I realized I left my wallet at home. I told the cashier what had occured and told him I'd be back (even leaving behind my Lidl reusable bag and other bags i use when I go.) I rushed home and went to get my wallet and upon arriving back in line he had already bagged my groceries. I said thank you and paid for my groceries. I went outside to get a cart since there was 3 big bags of groceries. Upon packing everything in the cart I left my wallet at the grocery store. In the morning as I got ready for work I realized I had left the wallet at the grocery store. I have a badge I use to get inside the building where I work. I went to Lidl knocked on the door (since they had not yet opened.) An employee opened the door. I asked if she could check for my wallet and gave her my name. She returned my wallet to me and I left in a hurry since I was late to work at that point. As I was driving to work I remembered I had $210.00 in cash and checked to see if the total was there. I was missing $100.00. I called corporate to tell them what had happened and they refused to check the cameras. They said I would need to file a police report. I have my receipt time stamped and simply asked to have THEM check the cameras. I didn't go to the store because I figured corporate would handle the situation accordingly and to be honest I couldn't even trust the employees working there at this point. I got no were with corporate on the phone. I work two jobs and the fact that an employee went and did that and corporate did nothing about it makes me VERY upset. This situation made me realize that this has to have happened more then once. The theif made sure to leave my wallet incase I came back, took $100 and not all the money to make it look less suspicious. I know for a fact that I had $210.00 due to me having gotten paid that in cash for my second job. I was going to deposit the money in the bank later that day. ME AND MY FAMILY WILL NO LONGER BE SHOPPING AT LIDL. AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ITEMS BEHIND. By the way this is the only negative review I...
Read moreRustic Baguette.. Oui! Everything bagel.. Oy Vey! Chocolate donut.. Doh! I spent a summer in France brother, and let me tell you, I know a good baguette when I squeeze one… I think I gained 5lbs when I discovered the rustic baguette. If it was up to me, I’d peel back the paper and eat one like a banana while I’m driving home (it is up to me). Seriously, these are hands down best baked goods I’ve ever purchased from a grocery store. This crew is baking breads on par with any stand-alone bakery I’ve been to in America. Warm, soft, crunchy, sweet, savory, nuff said.. This bakery crew deserves a raise.
The grocery store itself is quirky and limited, but inexpensive and full of imported goods. I personally love this.
For example: If you’re looking for specific, name-brand, chemically infused, processed foods like that nostalgic chocolate syrup you grew up on, you’re gonna have to hit the wallyworld. But if you’re lucky Lidl might randomly have imported a Swiss chocolatier’s chocolate syrup that absolutely slaps… but it’s going to be in the back corner of the store next to olives and anchovies and other random stuff that’ll likely be swapped next week.
They will have all the necessities on deck: produce, baked goods, meats, dairy, dry goods, etc. and it’s all going to be significantly cheaper (and likely better quality) than your traditional grocery stores.
If you like adventure and you’re not looking for a specific name brand processed food, this is the spot.
Edited: forgot to mention this place is way understaffed. Lately, it seems there is only one cashier at a time and one other employee will be roaming the store. Carts are never brought back and the place is totally a mess. I don’t mind it much, but I wouldn’t shop for a family here. It’s kinda the wild west with...

I recently went to the newly opened Lidl store in Garner, and let me tell you, it was even better than I expected. This store is a great addition to the community. They care about the neighborhood by helping the local food bank and building relationships with other businesses around.
The store looks modern and cool, even though it's not like the usual Lidl buildings around here. You can find all the stuff you need for your groceries, and it's good quality. The best part is that the prices are really good compared to other stores in the area.
What really stood out to me was the awesome staff at Lidl in Garner. They were super friendly and helpful, always ready to find what I needed or answer any questions. Even at the checkout, things went really quick and smooth. The store was busy, but it stayed clean and tidy.
Oh, and don't forget to check out the myLidl App! It has amazing deals and discounts. When I signed up, I got a $5 off $30 coupon, and there are new offers every week. It's a great way to save money.
